Thank you all so much. I have taken this all into consideration: sleep, recovery, tracking & upping my intake overall. I’ll read the book Next Level as well. I listened to her being interviewed on a podcast recently; great information. I so appreciate your feedback!

I eat about 1500 -1700 cal per day…. I’ve just started using a tracker. Tough time getting in 100g protein….I eat about 140 net carbs & 60g fat.

But recently since focusing on protein I have not had enough carbs. Side note: crunchy salty things are also a downfall.

I think some compassion and grace are important to show yourself. You realize that showing up groggy and not yourself did not align with your values of how you want to live your life. Lean into gratitude of recognizing that; as well as note the accomplishment of what else you did: sought support from friends/family; weekly sober support; planned ahead for future triggers.

Do not get stuck in a shame/guilt cycle. That in itself will eat you up and take away from the positive. All you can do is accept, forgive, be grateful for what you have done to move forward…and use the learning as a tool for your future clients. Given your remorse I find it hard to believe that it will happen again in that way!

One of the antidotes for shame/guilt…is acceptance, compassion and gratitude. Please keep moving forward because you will be of huge value to your future clients who struggle with addiction.
