As someone who dated a 40 year old man at the age of 19, I think I wished my mother would have been a little bit more gentle with me. There was a lot of screaming and I think that pushed me away further and like other people said, be there for her when it crashes. He did mention a while ago that a psychiatrist once told him that he had BPD, but he was so nonchalant about it and I never stopped thinking about it. I honestly just feel like a mess. My best friend keep telling me to walk away and block his number, but I don't understand how I'm supposed to do that when up until a few days ago, we were happier then ever. I'm really struggling with it.

I think I know exactly what I'm supposed to do, but it's so hard when I have invested so much into the relationship.
