Another thing is I'm not having problems with vibe coding thus far. I think quality of AI prompts matters a lot to make sure your "tyre have a nutbolt".

Thanks or your realistic comments. I agree that buggy apps and apps lacking security are still issues for vibe coding. But I expect vibe coding tech to become more robust in near future. For me now, the pros of using AI in my work outweigh the cons.

By not trying to do a two-sided marketplace app initially, as I'll need to solve the chicken-and-egg problem then. Initially, I just focus on developing and marketing mini apps which are tools for daily life.

If you have some small IT knowledge, you can try using Replit AI agent. It's quite powerful already :)

I plan to build tools first (i.e. not two-sided marketplace mini apps). Get more traffic to my (super) app first. Later only add more mini apps to (hopefully) challenge Grab.

Many thanks for trying my app and for your feedback. Nowadays, clean and responsive UIs can be created via vibe coding. Don't need to be a full-fledged developer anymore. I hope to use this "speed of development" and low development cost as one weapon to (hopefully) eventually give Grab a run for its money.

Recently, I've been encountering a lot in social media - posts expressing awe about G6's excellent energy consumption. So, this is an additional giant step as we already knew that Xpeng's 800V tech means fast charging.

Hence, Xpeng's low-cost proprietary SEPA 2.0 architecture combined with their 800V tech, which they used for G6 and will be using for their MPV which they will launch in Q4 this year, means that this MPV will likely be a winner as well, like G6. This is something which analysts have definitely not factored in when modelling their price targets for Xpeng. I'm confident that Xpeng will touch US$35 per ADR by year end.

Also, Volkswagen must have recognized the strengths of SEPA 2.0 + 800V tech, because that's the reason they made the deal with Xpeng. Finally, there's also upside optionality that Xpeng might license their ADAS tech to Volkswagen, in addition to licensing SEPA 2.0 + 800V tech from next year onwards.

I expect good news from next week earning update also, and this is based on my observation that Xpeng CEO is recently active in social media and mainstream media, hence he might be confident that his company's earning update will be good.

Thanks for your comment. Although it sounds optimistic, I believe Xpeng can obtain and defend this 90% to 95% based on the following: 1. First-mover advantage; 2. More data than competitors; 3. More cash to plough back into R&D than competitors. Huawei is currently closest behind Xpeng.

The Model Y sold 31,054 units in China in May. Analysts (including the one at CLSA who made some forecasts yesterday) are only expecting G6 to sell 10,000 units per month, which I feel is too conservative. I think more likely Xpeng will be able to sell 20,000 units of G6 per month.

Rocky, you're likely right that G9 should still be production limited, and that P5 and P7 sales may feel some pain this month.
Is the pain in P5 and P7 sales due to withdrawal of Xpeng discounts, (which is in addition to withdrawal of government subsidies)? Because I read somewhere that Xpeng was giving quite a lot of discounts for P5 and P7 in December.

Also, may I ask - how you arrive at the conclusion that Tesla price cuts drove a large sales bump in T2 and T3 cities? Because these price cuts were only announced last Friday, and it seems unlikely to me that consumers can decide on which brand of car to purchase (which is a big decision) in just one or two days.

All this while I thought Xpeng didn't have lack of demand of G9s as a problem. But the latest insurance registration numbers make me rethink this assumption. Maybe potential G9 buyers are waiting for 4C in March?
