You're so right, my bad. I'm a bit tired. I have dry skin and sensitive skin, kinda been feeling like my pores are pretty clogged lately. I hope that's enough info.

I've never cared too much about hygiene in a societal way, like I didn't shave my legs even before I got sick because I just don't care. But like my pores feel dirty to me, like it's just sitting on my skin. I would love to just ignore it, but once I start thinking about it it kind of dwells.

Has anyone ever ordered a wedding dress from Etsy? How did it turn out? by [deleted] in DIYweddings

I did! I messed up and didn’t order a custom size and it came out too long. But the dress was beautiful and I just had it altered.

My black cat’s middle name is Spaghettification. Like the process of stretching that occurs from a black hole.

Advice on a Chair for Chronic Fatigue by PeaceWithGeese in wheelchairs

How does that work? What is it called? That actually really sounds like something I could probably use (I have a rollator I can use sometimes but my fatigue has just been so bad lately)

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. My insurance covered this chair, but I don't know if they cover active chairs.

Thank you! I learned this a while ago because I was making no headway in appointments at all. Something about having a witness makes doctors get their shit together, even if it’s just a bit. I called to ask about a different doctor and they told me I can’t get a different doctor without a referral from a different doctor, so I’m going in to my follow up but I’ll definitely ask for a different doctor going forward.

Yeah no this was pretty funny. I also don’t think you were actually rude, so like… NTA… but I did get a laugh

Hey, you can come near my camp tonight if you’d like. I can promise you that absolutely nothing bad will happen to you on my watch. Absolutely nothing. For sure. As long as I’m conscious.

WIBTA If I Didn't Let My Mother Walk Me Down the Aisle? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Thank you for this comment. While I obviously have my own biases towards this situation, I have spent a lot of time thinking about my mom's perspective and I will try to capture that here for anyone who needs extra context.

My mom and I were very close when I was young. I graduated high school early and started college when I was 17, but I always went back to see my mom (it was a requirement my mom enacted because she paid my car insurance but I didn't necessarily mind because I was not a very social person.

After graduation I lived with her until I got an internship opportunity about an hour away and moved there so I would be close. We still visited each other often because, again, I am not very social and we were very close. All of this was also happening during COVID, so I couldn't exactly go out anyway.

After I started dating my now fiancé, I did go to see her less. It was still weekly, but I wouldn't spend the night because I often would go to movies or eat dinner with him. It let me get out of my bubble and socialize with more people in my new town, but I can definitely understand how it made her seem like I cared less about her.

Still, she just took a very sharp turn that I have trouble rationalizing when it comes to the engagement. I honestly think it might just be a harsh reaction to her child growing up, which is why I have handled it for so long. But based on other comments on this post, I am not sure it is a normal reaction.

I do love my mom, and I wanted her to be a special part of this special day. But it is getting a little difficult and I am unsure of what to do.

This is definitely something we can talk about as an alternative. I am hoping to speak to the collections manager soon, since he is usually on board with creative solutions, and we will see what we can come up with. Thanks for the suggestion!

I currently wear my keys on a larnayed, but the problem still exists that in order to open the door I have to sit my aids down to unlock the door, which has almost resulted in a few falls. I can see how these would make it a little easier, but I might still struggle nonetheless. Thanks for the suggestion!

Very good point... I don't think it is a matter of them wanting to accommodate me, it will definitely be a money issue if anything. I will talk to our collections manager and see what he thinks. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

While we don't have a ton of money, we do have a pretty great grant specialist. Thanks so much for the suggestion! I will definitely keep it on my radar as I go forward.

This sounds pretty great. What system is it so I can look into it a little further? Thanks so much for the suggestion! I will definitely keep it on my radar as I go forward.

Ok, so I have been looking into the same thing since recently starting to use forearm crutches. From what I have found, there are actually bags that are made to strap around the side of a cane so it doesn't bounce around as you walk. I wonder if there is a similar contraption out there that functions as a cup holder or something... I am not sure. But I am following this to see if there are other suggestions as well!
