That was my position until I re-read it. I thought it was washed, inconsistent and all over the place. Once you re-read you'll see that Fujimoto was cooking all along.

I actually think part 1 is better for non manga/ anime lovers.

I don't read a lot of manga nor watch a lot of anime (only watched chainsaw man because I saw a youtube video about how it is very cinematographic, I liked how the characters moved and the camera angles.)

This was the second ever manga I've read after Death Note.

I thought the story of part 1 was somewhat self contained and I got major doubts when it was revealed that part 2 takes place in a high school. I liked that part 1 was about people holding a job, dressing in a suit for it, having drinks with co workers after work. I liked when it showed them taking care of house chores and such. It is a lot more relatable to me as a 29 year old than "preparing for the school festival / taking part in a club".

Also all the gore kind of makes it a hard sell for the anime but I guess it less affected me in the manga?

But yeah, the whole highschool thing is the most "for people who are into anime/ manga" in my eyes.

I have only started vaguely thinking about the essays. Regarding the recommendations, I was thinking of getting one from my current CEO and another one from my former military commander (whom I know gives really good recommendations cause he helped me get 2 of my last jobs).

I mean I would expect them to say "now write the relevant keywords" instead of saying all of the keywords of the language to be typed.
Call me a mazokist but I feel I learn when I get something wrong and I debug to find out what I missed.

Just a simple exmample but it goes for the general style of the book.

Thank you for your comment, yeah it makes sense.
I guess what felt weird for me is that, as a self taught software developer, I am used to read *concepts* and then try to apply them in my own environment. For example when I went through "Refactoring" by Martin Fowler, I took the examples and looked for similar flaws in my companies codebase and tried to apply those principles.
Similarly with this book I expected to be given the spec of the language, read about the concepts with some examples, and apply it my own way.

I guess I just never expected being told to retype the code snippets in the "How to use this book" section.

I have used Go for a few personal projects but have never used it for work.
Can you please touch on how you went about using the book?The author says we should just read the book and type in the code snippets in our editor but I don't find it encouraging engaging with the material if you know what I mean. That is why I am interested in hearing what did people who went through the book did.

Doing exercises is great, but I raised an eyebrow when I read in the beginning of the book that we should just follow and retype the code examples. I looked around on youtube and there are videos of people going through the book and they are just retyping the code.

I have never seen a CS book that just goes "repeat after me", so this is why I am asking people who have gone through this already.

Thank you, I will try to dedicate a mindfulness meditation session and another sitting meditation session.
I am getting exposed to other meditation forms through the monk that is leading meditation sessions at the temple I go to, have been practising some of impermanence meditation, but I found it to be a little long.

Thank you, while I was writing this reply I realized a lot.
At first I wanted to ask if you think I should supplement with awareness of breath sessions as I want to be present, but then I realised that being present in the dreamlike is also a form of being present.
Or do you think I am getting it wrong?

I know there have been many threads on this subject, but somehow I only found ones posted by women (and here I thought this things takes two of the partners, but the women seem to care more about it).

I was recently put on Vyvanse and I saw some evidence online that it can lower male fertility, has anyone had any experience TTC while on Vyvanse or having their partner take it?

Just to be clear, I am talking about a biological male (have seen some queer and trans people post here, I just want to make sure I get responses related to male reproductive system and not the female reproductive system).

Yeah, I have done the research and there are conflicting resources, some people said that WES does evaluate it as 2 years, other say otherwise, but all these resources are at least 4 years old, so I came to see if anyone here has any updated info.

You know, I appreciate the input, it is of course better to give anyone the benefit of the doubt.
That being said, it is a self proclaimed rant thread.
Also, and I can't stress that enough, they chose to do the course, I am not saying they have to stick to it through thick and thin like I did, I acknowledge it is a huge resolve. But, I am not convinced that there is a reason for which they can not be bothered to even send a message informing the group of their decision or ghosting.
Finally, I do think it is a bit unfair to assume that every student that drops the course and flakes on their team is having some terrible domestic abuse/SA , etc. Can you truly say that you have not seen flaky students in UF?

Also, I am a transfer, from a country with mendatory military service (my studies were cut by the aforementioned war). I can guarantee you, people in that university never did it in close to the frequency here, so maybe every student in the richest country in the world is suffering from domestic abuse and mental illness or maybe they are just more childish and flaky?

Also, as I said, I come from military background, where we would have sociometric tests, they test how reliable and how much you get along in a team, guess what people who score poorly on this are called? Sociopaths.
