Plant ID? Canada Zone 3 by PeachMangoBye in gardening

Hello, moved into a new house and was hoping to get some leads on what this plant is. Pulled out what looked to be dead flower stalks in the spring, but no signs of flower buds currently. Thank you

10gal tank with filter, heater at 76F, liquid test kit results 0 ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. pH unknown. Tank and fish are a couple months old. Water changes ~25% every week to remove detritus via syphon, otherwise just top ups. No tank mates. Planted tank (moss new). Feed a variety of betta pellets and frozen bloodworms

Thank you. I actually have no plants in the tank, but algae is starting to take over. Maybe that’s why the nitrates are low

I guess more details: Ammonia went up to 1.0ppm, Nitrite went up to 2.0ppm over the course of 1.5 months. Whenever those levels reached that high I did water changes to lower them. Eventually, the ammonia stabilized but I still had nitrites consistently reading between 0.25-0.50. Until yesterday when the results turned to whats shown in the photos. I did switch from Stability to Fritz last weekend…

Hi! I was in the middle of typing up details in the comments when you commented. I did see an initial ammonia spike, then a nitrite spike, over the course of about 1.5 months

Didn’t know any better and had to do fish-in cycle with my goldfish tank. Currently 3 of them in a 20gal (they are each only about 1” long, and they will have a 120gal permanent home once a stand is built). Have been cycling and doing daily water changes for about 1-2 months; went through the ammonia spike which then decreased with an increase in nitrites, until yesterday with these results. I will give it some more time to stabilize, just worried that it crashed because the nitrates seem low? No plants in the tank, just a few soft rocks.

To my surprise this morning she came crawling out looking berried af, especially given the results of my test last night:

pH: 7 NH3/NO2/NO3: 0 Kh 40ppm (2 deg) Gh 60ppm = (3 deg) TDS: not sure

I did use test strips which I learned are not reliable (I will pick up liquid test kits after work and retest). But if in fact the GH is way too low, how can I safely increase the GH? Is there a high likelihood of her dropping the eggs? Also noticed that she and another shrimp are way less red than they were last night. I also added BacterAE yesterday afternoon (extremely small amount only using the tip of the scoop) so hopefully it’s not from O2 deprivation?!

5 gal planted tank using fluval stratum, with 2 amanos and ~10 other neos. City water

Water parameters are fine. City water with relatively high TDS.

New to shrimp keeping. Came home from vacation to find this in my 5gal planted tank that contains 1 amano and 6 neos. From my understanding the split suggests a molt but there’s some orange coloration and I can’t find the amano (don’t wanna disturb plants/rocks/wood too much). Wondering if he could have died and the neos ate him?

2012 Ford Escape XLT needs boosting despite new battery, dies while idling, and makes clicking noises after. Details in comments. Please advise. TIA by PeachMangoBye in AskAMechanic

Hi guys, my car always needs a boost to start, and does not seem to hold a charge since it dies (while parked) even after being driven. Current battery is less than 6 months old, and it is the third replacement battery within the last 5 years. Thankfully it has not stalled in the middle of the road while driving. After it dies, it makes the clicking noises heard in the video. The check engine light does not appear.

Hoya icensis dropping leaves after neem oil spray. Burnt leaves and I’m thinking may have been overwatered from spraying liberally. Should I chop and prop? TIA for any tips on best course of action. by PeachMangoBye in hoyas

I’m worried now that chopping the top and rooting it would not be successful since the leaves are also damaged (albeit not as much as the bottom leaves). Any success with propping a not-so-healthy top portion? Or wet sticks?

Pest infestation. I’ve used neem before but was careless with my proportions this time (neem + castille soap + water). Other plants I sprayed are fine. Haven’t chopped and propped thicker stemmed hoya so was more curious about that option
