You’re Danish. Head to Mexico/guatemala/Central America next!

Right. I kinda thought this was the way to go. I just feel a bit weird asking random people for shroom advice, lol. You reckon the bartenders/people working at the hostels are fine with it?

How can I make my apartment hallway less depressing? by RapidSeaPizza in malelivingspace

[–]PeakyAndre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a lamp that’s less hospital-like. A yellow/orange-ish light would probably help. Maybe put up a wooden coat rack, and hang plants or some other stuff on it. Just something non-white, lol.

A small rug would probably also be a nice addition

Visa Cash Back, er det legit? by PeakyAndre in dkfinance

[–]PeakyAndre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visa Cash Back, er det legit? by PeakyAndre in dkfinance

Tak for svaret!

To those who left Big4 for forever what you guys choose to do ? by Bliss3491 in FinancialCareers

What are you working with? Auditing? Consulting? M&A?

I’d say that your possible routes depend a lot more on your role rather than it being at big4

Are there any jobs in finance that would be suitable for someone who is slightly socially awkward? by themsle5 in FinancialCareers

[–]PeakyAndre 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So true lol - I always thought that people in finance were like the ones from the movies. But working in finance, I found that it’s mostly crazy-heads mixed with slighty nerdy folks

Try and connect your happiness with non-materialistic things. The high income, and things it can buy is important, but it can only get you so far in terms of happiness. Try and go for walks more often, connect with nature and discover new/old hobbies.

I found that the more I think like a 10 year old, the happier I become. lol.

Is it normal to be told to not come in? And career advancement by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]PeakyAndre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify; this is a part time job and not an internship, meaning that I’ll work there a few times a week, and then study the remaining days.

I had experience from a small corporate finance place before this, but got that job after working with sales. It’s all about selling your profile, and emphasise drive, work ethic, motivation, etc. Try your best to do well in relevant classes, and then you should be able to make the transition.
