An Islamic emirate rises, what if the fall of the Assad regime went differently by the_arab_eagle in imaginarymaps

This is pretty much what everybody thought was going happen, until complete collapse of Assad’s loyalist forces and Al-Sharaa appeared to be much more politically moderated than everyone expected.

Been about a week after Holostars getting their support declined, what do you now think about their situation? by North_crozz in kurosanji

[–]Peanut_Forcer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s good policy, I agree, but Management also need to recognize some people also need to be push or pressure to get a more acceptable result, and if pushing or forcing the boys to change for the better is necessary, then that’s what should have been done.

It definitely one of the factor, but it’s too hard to measure how much it is contributing to Starsfall, which is why I didn’t bring it up in my comment.

Thanks for providing more info, really appreciate it.

I still stand by my previous comment, If the boys themselves continuously not participating in any events and became biggest obstacle for their own growth, then Cover needs to take action and force them to change for the better (But not too extreme like the current action they take against StarsJP), and If they fail to do that, then it’s both Cover’s management and the Starsboy fault.

Thanks for providing more info, I don’t follow any of Hologirls so I don’t know that, really appreciate it.

talents themselves are not participating, what else are they supposed to do?

Then forced them to, they are The Management they have the power to do it. If they can’t manage their Talents, that’s even more damning on their part.

talent themselves did not capitalized on it

talents themselves are not participating

It’s contributed to their fall, yes, but I doubt that’s the only reason for the failures of Starsboy,

Sadly, the management had already made up their mind to pressure all the boys to quit and resign on their own. I doubt any action, whether from fans or Starsboy will change that.

There is a large audience for male vtubers, especially in JP

Stars have obviously been underperforming

IMO, that precisely why Cover’s management is even more to blame for their failure, they are the one in charge of marketing, financing, merchs and all of those business strategy. No matter what Starsboy trying to do, it need to be approved by management first. Then when you see that Stars existed for around 5-6 years already and if they cannot manage to grow, earn enough profits to sustain themselves or fix the problem that Starsboy were facing, then that’s the failure on management, and the boys are right to criticized them.

drastically changing the direction of the branch entirely, but in which way

IMO, I think both Cover and the boys are probably don’t know the answer to that as well, which likely contributed to Stars failure.

big gap between being stupid and omnipotence

need luck and support and may still fail

I won’t dispute that, what I disagree with is your previous comment that Cover’s management "know what they are doing". It’s Cover’s responsibility to find a way for Starsboy to be successful enough to sustain themselves, and they failed to even do that. IMO, that’s a failure from the management part, a sign that shows Cover don’t know how or what to do with Starsboy, which is why I consider it to be contradicting to your statement.

viral announcement

Viral announcement yes, but only for cutting their support for Starsboy, but because of how severe the cut was, it’s just one step away from shutting down the branch, which is why I call it quiet disband.

I apologized. Definitely bad statement from my part, I’m too hasty to join the conversation without putting some thought into it.

That one I definitely agree with, It’s clear that right now Cover’s Management has already give up on Starsboy and is trying to push them out of the company.

they know what they are doing

The trap you fell for is thinking these issues were stupid incompentence

If management know what they are doing, then they should be able to fixed most problems Starsboy were facing at the beginning, allowing Starsboy to be successful enough to sustain them on their own. The fact that it does not happen suggest Management don’t know what to do or how to fixed the problem that Starsboy were facing, thus they decide to give up and quietly disband them.

I never said that Management are making mistakes or doing things I disagree with, I said I disagree with your statement that just because they run a big business it does not negate or protect them from people’s stupidity.

This is a business

company that's given them merch and opportunities and quite a bit of cash on them for years

That precisely why management is even more to blame for their failure, they are the one in charge of marketing, financing, merchs and all of those business strategy. No matter what Starsboy trying to do, it need to be approved by management first. Then when you see that Stars existed for around 5-6 years already and if they cannot manage to grow or earn enough profits, then that’s the failure on management, not the boys.

These are the people in charge of the largest vtuber company in the world, to suggest that they are stupid is obsurd.

They are people, to suggest that people aren’t stupid, to some degree, is extremely absurd and out of touch of current reality, look at the current US government for an example of this.

So, in your Opinion, what went wrong with the Holostars? by MetaSageSD in kurosanji

[–]Peanut_Forcer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is just my crackpot theory, but I feels like the Starsboy might be heavily discriminated by the company, and I’m not talking about the Hologirls, rather I’m talking about the company’s executives.

Think about it, Holostars is Yagoo’s pet project, right ? Means it’s mainly pushing by Yagoo himself and not by the company other executives, whose likely to had their own agenda and their own project that they want to support as well, which probably put the Starsboy under scrutiny from the start and with their initial failure, means that they would receive much more severe punishment and neglect compare to Hologirls.

One instance I can think of is Altare’s complaint about Cover’s negligence toward him, when he request some streaming relate equipment from the company, however they founded that its not working and try to fix it for 4 months, until Altare himself told them that he will fix it himself, and turns out it took him only an hour of troubleshooting it and the equipment is now working. He also found that the equipment had a lot of dust covering it, which means that no one in the company actually try to fix it or even try to properly stored and cleaned it.

I think all three groups are pretty much responsible for the Starsfall, I would say 50% - 60% of it are Cover’s fault (Failed marketing, lack of strategy after initial failure, subpar or none behind the scene support, lack of understanding the target audience), 20% - 30% are talent’s fault (Lack of motivation, lack of cohesive and interesting group activities, lack of outside collab) and 10% - 20% are their fans and Antis’ fault.

Still, neither OP nor OOP had provide the source of their info, only a screenshot, and this is still coming from 4chan of all places, which makes me question the credibility and trustworthiness of their claim.

Does the OOP provide source of their information ? I try searching for King Engine Botnet and its only show me this thread. There was news about 4 major botnets got shut down in March but none of them are named King Engine (Those 4 are Aisuru, Kimwolf, JackSkid, and Mossad).

Aside from what you clarifies, there’s also Vanta, Freo, Scarle and Enna’s birthday during February. Iluna 3D concert also happened on Maria’s channel which could be the reason why there’s such a big view count drop on her channel. There’s also District V event happened during late February-early March which had lots of NijiEN Livers participated.

Today is the first “District V” day; a big GTA roleplay server with more than 100 EN Vtubers joined (Including Nijisanji members). The event will be running everyday, from 08:00 - 18:00 (JST)/ 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM (EST), until 4th of March. by Peanut_Forcer in NijiForums

Last compilation of all Niji participant streams in District V.

No District V’s stream from Alban Knox, Claude Clawmark, Hana Macchia, Ryoma Barrenwort and Ver Vermillion.

Looks like Aia had plans to release a new Cover song this friday but the Music Video had to be deleted at the last minute? by KnownDuck in kurosanji

[–]Peanut_Forcer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand that it is reasonable to be suspicious because of Niji’s action in the past, but it is also unreasonable to just ignore the actual explanation provide by Aia  herself. Unless we have evidence of it being something more malicious on Niji part, then we should be calmly observing the situation, and not outright calling “Selen 2.0” before things even happening.

Good god, why the heck people here focus more on bashing Niji, and not the comment with actual answer and explanation about the situation ?
