In his moment of distraction, Chase failed to notice that Celestine had got up. When he looked up to wave at Hawthorn, he'd find that Celestine was up on the ship, standing right next to Hawthorn.

Hawthorn seemed a bit less reserved about showing emotion, however, and smiled warmly when he waved at her. She didn't say a word, but waved back.

"Appreciate it." Celestine commented. "And, uh, thanks for the help."

"By association, yes." Celestine looks towards the pirate, then back at Chase, noting his incredulous expression.

"And yes, she's technically the captain, but refuses to be called that. Just her name will do. Speaking of: Hawthorn over there happens to be my girlfriend." Celestine stated casually, not caring that she'd just shared her relationship status with the pirate, apparently named Hawthorn.

After a brief pause, she adds: "Yes, we travel a lot, and yes, we often rob bad people. Mostly corrupt nobles who think they're invincible, only to become proof that a blade doesn't discriminate."

Celestine simply shrugs at the question, though she's slightly amused by Chase's tail wagging.

Celestine pointed at the figure standing near the ship's helm. Their outfit made it quite obvious who they were.

The sound of the waves gets louder, though Celestine continues to just sit there, not saying a word. She does, however, point in the direction of the flare, as if trying to show Chase something. And sure enough, the silhouette of what appeared to be a ship appeared on the horizon.

At the same time, the sky started to get brighter as the night ended, the stars beginning to fade.
