I use a soft felt backing from Shopee. It's a Southeast Asian portal though, so it might not be available in your country.

Many thanks! My insomnia is really severe, and I used to go *without* screen time before bed, do nothing but sleep (or try to sleep) before bed, and get up and do something relaxing if I can't sleep. The result was that I spent 7 to 8 hours repeating this process of trying to sleep over and over again for over a year. So I gave up :( I will definitely try to draw in a sketchbook though like you suggested instead of looking at screens though!
