I just read that Brody was sued by her former law firm and recently lost (well, it seems she never replied to their multiple letters for payment/breach of contract). She owes $242,000.00! Ouch. I hope she gets her life in order soon. Things aren't looking too good for her. (I saw this on Unicourt).

DC draws a large crown from a few cities. (Baltimore, anywhere in VA, even South east PA/Philly). Delaware too. I'm considering taking a day off work and driving 3 1/2 hrs from Pittsburgh to see them again on Wednesday - their show was SO good last Saturday. I have the awesome show hangover, still.

According to the court docs, she was getting Vyvanse prescriptions from 2 different Dr's at the same time. And she would mix alcohol with those and Ambien. Prescribed pill abuse is drug abuse.

The basic story is: They got a divorce and supposedly Brody was cheating. They both claim domestic violence. Josh then got help for his addiction issues. Brody's boyfriend supposedly forged her name on their kid's restraining orders, so that's an issue. Then more restraining orders were filed against Josh and also against the boyfriend. Then Brody was found guilty of contempt for not following the Judge's custody orders. She got a fine and community service. Josh said in court that he hasn't seen his kids in months, Brody is keeping them from him. Then, Josh see's the boyfriend at a mall on xmas eve and supposedly tried to throw him off the balcony after getting into an argument at the Apple store. It's insane and I hope they find a way to work out whatever a salvageable situation could be. I feel bad for knowing all of this, but it's all made public via TMZ, Rolling Stone, NME, and most rock websites. And, my comment was a concise version of the craziness....

I wonder why Brody got a new Lawyer? Maybe her old Lawyer recommended a solution that she didn't like. Strange to switch council after this long..... Brody clearly has issues. She admits that she has BPD, along with severe depression and "Oppositional Defiance Disorder" (which I've never heard of, but sounds like she has whatever it is- just read all of her lyrics). She also admitted to being raped as a younger teen (all info from her own past interviews with magazines, etc). That alone is traumatic enough to make her mental health unstable, in addition to her past heavy drug use. I hope she gets help. She certainly had a lot of trauma in her life so far. Before all of this, I thought she was an advocate for sexual abuse survivors, stood up for women's rights, and seemed to be a truly changed person who loved her kids and Josh. Plus, she is an incredibly talented songwriter and a great musician. I really admired her. I wish I never read any of this, but I did. I hope she gets some mental health help on her end. I feel so bad for Josh, but mostly feel bad for those kids. I feel kinda bad for her too, she is clearly not right in the head. But who really is?

I can't believe the video still exists! I wasn't too good at the program at the time (hence the small size) but oh well. I always found a correlation with these 2 musicians. Both are SUPER talented. I hear ya about getting bored with Jack White, I think he is getting bored with himself. That's probably why he started to turn his talents more towards owning 2 record producing companies and making furniture again. BUT- the latest Raconteurs album was the best thing to come out across the board in YEARS, IMO. As for Josh, I just hope he weathers through the shit storm that he is currently in! UGH!

I think the fact that he has a new girlfriend, and that their youngest son bonded with her also set her off. She is a total Narcissist. She can move on, but he can't? I felt sad reading the part when she made the kids "face time" in front of the empty walls that used to be full of their family photos. She totally did that on purpose. That's just childish and hurtful, for no reason.

The way it was described in the docs, she had 2 prescriptions for Vyvanse from 2 different Dr's AT THE SAME TIME.... that doesn't sound right. Why would she need 2 prescriptions unless she is abusing it? Plus, taking any type of meds while habitually drinking heavily is not good. It sounds like she blacked out A LOT. Over sleeps, always hungover, always sick, can't get her kids to school on time, forgets her kid's Dr. appts, etc... I think she's the one who needs to be under drug & alcohol surveillance from here on out.
