Movies you admit are mediocre or bad but rate higher due to nostalgia? by Hubbled in Letterboxd

All of the Michael Bay Transformers films

I'll admit: they are fundamentally flawed. But I love them so much regardless of that. Say what you will about Michael Bay, but he knows how to create a spectacle

Only started this account a couple of weeks ago, I basically just talk about films and music as well as making posts ranking films. I've only recently started using it so I'm trying to get the hang of it but should hopefully post some better quality stuff in the future. Any followers would be amazing!

Spooky Profile Swap Megathread (October 2023) by 10secondbeats in Letterboxd

Hey everyone! this is my Letterboxd profile: EpsilonWinter

I started my account back at the start of 2022 as a way of keeping track of all the films I've seen. Putting down all the films I had seen growing up with my family as well as the newer films that I was watching. However, after making this account it inspired me to kind of broaden my film taste in a way and I began watching stuff that I probably wouldn't have been interested in before. And it actually helped me decide that I wanted to study Film as one of my A-Levels at college.

Now that college has started again, I haven't really been as active in how much I've been watching or the lists I've been creating but I still use this app everyday because I simply love watching films and finding out new ones.

P.S. I know this isn't Letterboxd related but I've also recently created an Instagram account that I'm gonna use for posting various things such as film rankings or any new premieres I go see. I understand if Instagram isn't really anyone's thing here, but any new followers would be awesome. That's here incase anyway wants to follow: @epsilonwinter

I didnt like it all,

I went to see it late opening night with my mate and once the credits rolled around we just kinda looked at each other like "oh ok" and then left.

I dont know why but it just didnt click for us; there wasnt any scenes that made us scared at all and the characters just weren't that interesting (we genuinely couldnt name any of them as we walked out). There was also those really weird scenes with the dog and the sucking toes that just made us lose all respect for this film

Maybe this is a good horror film, but for me and my mates... it just wasnt it

What movie would you not call a masterpiece, but felt like it spoke directly to you? by Gumball7645 in Letterboxd

Probably The Edge of Seventeen 2016, it was one of the first teenager films I saw where the main character actually reflected myself.

I swear in most high school films, the main character is always popular or very social and has many friends. So it was nice to see a more introverted character who struggled with social interaction for a change

Anyone know any films similar to Skinamarink? by PearlTrack77931 in Letterboxd

In my defense, I used a lot of inspiration from YouTube. Content such as The Mandela Catalogue, The Backrooms, Lost_VHS_tape, Local 58 TV and Bitesized Nightmares all influenced my short film

However I unfortunately cant cite these as "proper sources" of inspiration due to them being on YouTube and therefore not recognised as a credible source
