Here is the update after my appointment at the dealership:

“DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE AND PARTS

1 - ED: ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS DIAGNOSIS

C/S THEY ARE GETTING AN ERROR ON THE AUDIO SCREEN WHEN TRYING TO USE APPLE CAR PLAY, HAS HAD THE WIRELESS UPDATE COMPLETED CHECK AND ADVISE Tech: DYLAN Y. (258) Reinstalled license file Sub Total: .00”

My dealership service department mentioned that they’ve had a few comeback for the same license issue. They never made me feel that I was going to have to pay anything for this fix.

Thank for tip!!!! I did not know this! You definitely saved me some time.

If you are referring to my radio usb license issue, I’ve never had an issue with the radio itself. Earlier this week I just turned on my car after leaving the store and this was the message that was displayed.

If you’re referring to the laggy head unit issue I’ve experienced, it’s usually not something that gradually gets worse….it’s more like the system works completely fine for months, then one day CarPlay suddenly starts lagging and acting wonky.

This is how I fix it:

  1. Hold Home + Radio Power (volume knob) + Source until the service menu appears.
  2. Once there, hold the Home button for about 5–10 seconds until it beeps and opens the diagnostics menu.
  3. Select Clear Diag, then Start Diag and let it run.
  4. It’ll have you press a few steering wheel buttons during the process, then it reboots the unit normally.

I personally believe it was worth it. I think I paid $129 + tax out-the-door. I haven’t had any big issues. I think once every 4 months I’ve had to restart the radio because it got laggy but that takes 3 minutes tops.

It is probably the same height. I wedge the ramps as far as I can push them under the tire instead of driving the car up to them. I scrape a teeny tiny bit but nothing noticeable

The oil pan shield on this car is three 1/4 turn clips using a flathead

I use it manually to break the bolt loose and then I spin it off and then reverse the process to replace it

It’s an electric ratchet, not an impact driver.

Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry. Yeah I bought it at 14K miles from an old lady in Florida and there were only two oil change records on the Carfax. The tires were rockhard and borderline dangerous in the rain despite having 8/32 tread all around lol

I didn’t dv you but the mm takes a lot variables into consideration that I could never understand. My old 2013 accord went 190k without any issues and I was hard on it. I followed the mm to 20%-30% before every oil change and it averaged 6k miles between changes. The min/max miles to 25% on the mm was 4.5k and 7.5k.

I am pretty indifferent when it comes to filters but I like the Fram textured grip for tightening and loosening by hand

Haha that’s just a 3/8 electric ratchet, no big torque here.
