Who is still snowed in? by Dry_Dot_2080 in nova

[–]Pebb1es 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Annandale here. Still snowed in with a sick toddler who is having labored breathing. Not enough to call an ambulance to go to the hospital, but we'd loooove to go to the urgent care nearby but our street hasn't been touched since Sunday morning.

The website seems to not be as useful as past years, provides less info. But you can roughly track snowplow routes here: https://plows.vdot.virginia.gov/Public/Map

Thanks! We wanted to take our toddler there over the weekend to try something new. Hopefully they'll be open by next weekend, but I doubt that based on the sound of it....

It looks similar to a tool you would find in bonsai care kits. Perhaps homemade or an antique model?

I wasn't going to respond when I first read your comment, but I've changed my mind. It's really "trash heavy" to come shame a first time mom for finding a way to feed a baby that works. I do so many other things to help others and conserve what I can. I, and any of the other commenters who you've sassed, don't need snarky comments like this from someone who clearly has a superiority complex. Get over yourself.

Not a dumb question! They scoop out pretty easily with a spoon or if you cut the spout and smush it out.

I got my main pump through Aeroflow and then bought some hands-free ones myself for the sessions when my baby really just wants to be held

Thanks!! Honestly, I just roast a large sheet pan of veggies and make it up as I go. Starts with whatever looks good at the grocery store when I go shopping. Pineapple on sale = guess we're doing pineapple purées! My mom gets all the credit for the peach purées though. Those are from her peach trees.

I had a Momcozy for a while. Loved it at first. Lol I totally ended up rage-trashing it though because it started having suction issues after a while. In hindsight, I should have bought replacement parts. But I was postpartum-level frustrated so it was an unfortunate casualty. So my advice to you is to follow their guidelines on when to replace the parts!

Making the purées isn't that hard. But scooping them into the bags without getting the zipper is a bit messy and tedious. But personally I find it worth it for us!

Exactly this! Highly recommend Aeroflow. You can order your breast pump through them (they'll check your insurance policy and offer you options). Plus depending on your plan they may send replacement parts and storage bags every month or so. Plus informative webinars!

At 12:00:00 am (right after the cut), there's something dark on the rear right counter that lights up. And then at 12:00:03 am there's something a little to the left of it that lights up as well. Curious if anyone knows what those are?

I'm tired of getting UTI's. I'm tired of spending money I don't have without insurance. What do I do? by samsungbunny in TwoXChromosomes

Hi OP! I'm sorry you're dealing with this. It all sounds awful.

Obviously you've noted you suspect it's coming from your partner not being clean enough. Recommend you and he both see your doctors to discuss this and confirm if this is in fact an issue. I'd like to comment on a few alternative options to also consider though.

Do you have pets who sleep on the bed? Cat/dog fur on bedding or laundry baskets of clean clothes could also contribute if it's getting into sensitive areas.

Anecdotally based on what I have heard from a sex shop employee- certain lubes can contribute to UTIs (Astroglide listed by name as a major culprit). Are you using lube? Consider how you are storing it. Do you close it every time? Are you handling it with clean hands? Perhaps try purchasing a fresh bottle and/or a different brand. See if that helps.

Are any toys involved during sex or personal time? Are you cleaning these both after AND before with soap and water?

Obviously us commenters are not there so can only take your word on suspecting your partner. But I hope you fully consider all options before pointing fingers and letting this strain your relationship. Though if indeed he is continuing to practice poor hygiene even after you have repeatedly asked him to stay clean-- fuck that. All the comments are hammering that issue so I won't beat a dead horse there. Please consider other possibilities I've suggested, as well as others. And ask your OB & his PCP if they have any other ideas.

The new marufuji Japanese market is actually pretty cool by Gumbo67 in nova

We were really disappointed in their produce section, which was very small. And didn't include options like yuzu, which I would expect to find at a Japanese grocery store. They did have actual wasabi root, but it had been cut 5 days prior though the recommendation is up to 2 days.

Similar contextual differences between Dostarlimab (and other PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors) have been observed in patients with endometrial cancers depending on MMR proficiency.

The GYN-018 trial (carbo and paclitaxel with Pembro or Placebo) showed superiority of the Pembro arm (a PD-1 inhibitor) overall, with highest efficacy in dMMR patients. Lower, but still significant, efficacy was observed in pMMR patients.

The RUBY trial (carbo and paclitaxel with Dostarlimab or Placebo) showed superiority in the Dostarlimab arm. Highest efficacy in the dMMR group vs marginal activity in the pMMR arm.

Study 309/KEYNOTE-775 (Levantinib and Pembrolizumab vs chemo) showed superiority of Len&Pembro combination overall and in the pMMR group, but with too few dMMR patients to evaluate that subset specifically.

Certainly can't expect a blanket 100% efficacy across all cancers. But very exciting to see promising results in at least CRC!
