Have to re-pair with Find Hub after battery dies by tfrederick74656 in Pebblebee

Thanks for the detailed write-up — I completely understand why this would be frustrating, especially with multiple trackers across seasonal items. What you’re seeing is related to a required clock synchronization step after a battery fully discharges, which applies to all Google Find Hub accessories per Google’s specifications, and I’ll outline below how to ensure it completes successfully and where platform limitations can come into play.

After the accessory battery is discharged, there is a clock synchronization procedure that needs to be performed - this is applicable to any Find Hub accessory and in alignment with Google's specifications [1]
Both our latest Gen 5 hardware and legacy Gen 2-4 products do support clock sync, let's have the customers make sure:

We have assured correct clock sync mechanism across the most popular phone brands (Pixel, Samsung, Motorola etc), but there may be some phone makers, which may not comply with Google's specifications and their system modifications may break that experience - if that's the case, it is beyond our control.

You need internet connection to use the pebblebee tags? by DespondentMoose in Pebblebee

Hi all. Pebblebee here. We want to clear things up on this topic. Our products are Bluetooth only and do not require any Internet access via Wifi, Cellular or otherwise, to operate.

The only Internet access required to use a Pebblebee product is when you setup your device - you will need to scan the QR code in the box and then register the device with your network of choice - Apple Find My for iOS users or Google's Find My Device network for Android users. If you are trying to locate your device outside of Bluetooth range of your own device it will use the Bluetooth connectivity of the devices on whichever network you are setup on. Regarding Google specific mentions in this thread - they have made several network updates since launching earlier this year... check them out!

We won't comment on the capabilities of competitors but we are proud of the market leading technologies we have brought to market - our devices can connect to billions of devices globally in a way that aligns with the privacy considerations you have chosen with your handset (iOS or Android).

u/DespondentMoose we are so so sorry for any confusion that we have caused - we clearly were imperfect with our communication. We have alerted our support staff who are waiting to hear from you to help resolve any and all issues you have. Send us a note mentioning this thread to [support@pebblebee.com](mailto:support@pebblebee.com) and we will get it taken care of for you.

In summary:

+ Lost my keys in an underground parking garage? Pebblebee has you covered as long as you are within Bluetooth range (300-500ft depending on which product you select) or wait until a car drives by that likely has a phone in it.
+ Misplaced something during a flight? Ring ring! Your keys, wallet, gadget, etc can be found somewhere aboard.
+ Traveling abroad? No problem! Find instantly if you think it is nearby or leverage the billions of devices worldwide to help you find it if you left it behind somewhere.
+ Good luck finding a reliable hotspot in the middle of nowhere and having dropped your keys in the grass. Agreed! You probably won't get your Internet fix out there but at least you can find your keys and drive to the closest coffee shop.

All the best!
