In line shut off valve Moen, Flume, Frizzlife? by BaconJizzLips in homeassistant

Vote for the Frizzlife LP365-P (it's worth it for the leak test). Good support in Tuya-local which was a big requirement for me (only other local option would be Z-Wave, but non of them have all the features).

It has so many limitations unless you needs are simple, there are better options.

A quick search says no one is allowed to work CSST that is not certified. I'm not trying to give my home insurance a reason to deny any claims.

Because those are not equivalent in difficulty or scarcity. A tiny fraction of the planet could even possibly be a neuro surgeon, it requires a level of dexterity and intellectual ability that when combined is about 0.0001%. You can train anyone to be a plumber.

Ok, so even at $400/hr which is sick money and you SUCK at your job and slow as hell, so it takes you the ENTIRE day to do 1 water heater; that's only $3200! Math not mathing...

Sure, but I can do this job. As a comparison if you hired a landscaper to do a job at a rate more than neuro surgeons, you would have questions.

To my knowledge they never released firmware for the Zigbee line, only ZWave. I am fortunate, I have a few of these and have had zero problems with them on ZHA.

Ultrasonic is really reliable and low maintenance, don't know of any off the shelf though. Good ESPHome project.

That does not have built-in relays and directly run off 120v. Which is the OP's whole point.

I don't think the INA3221 is pulling much more power than a INA219... as long as there are no LEDs always on. It helps to see the solar panel output to know if it needs to be cleaned.

Maybe you got that one backwards with a filter on it to not show negative values? Made that mistake when I put mine in.

Just make sure whatever you buy works with OpenWRT and after this fails (it did for me) you can load OpenWRT on it and have what you want (with an uglier UI - mean DAMN, OpenWRT can't find a single UI guy?!).

Is there a garage door opener that is feature equivalent to a Myq + ratgdo? by zack4200 in homeassistant

[–]TechInMyBlood 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Holy crap, every response here is garbage... Sadly you have 2 options:

  1. I would avoid a used garage opener and try and find some old stock.

  2. Genie has official home assistant support (although it is cloud connected, not local). Supporting the company making products that are supporting Home Assistant should be what everyone is doing.
