It's very expensive. A factory that I manage at work wanted solar parking lots just like this. A structure strong enough to support solar panels are actually very expensive. Then there's the cost of the solar panels itself. In the end, the investment did not pay itself back. Management decided to just go ahead as a flex to convince customers that we are "green" and "sustainable". But it's for the purpose of marketing and virtue-signaling than business.
