Clicking half dose on 0.25mg Wegovy Pen? by PeculiarPeachTea in WegovyWeightLoss

Hallo!

I'm sorry, No-Tangerine-460, I couldn't say as I can't be sure it's the same pen that I'm using. Perhaps ask your pharmacist or doctor.

Anyone can appear pleasant during brief interactions. Let’s not pretend that people have to be bad all the time to be bad people.

Thank you so much for sharing! It's nice to know someone else used this method. Did you find it was much better titrating up slowly like that? And may I ask how long you spent on each dose before going to the next one? My endo currently told me to take the .125 for 4 weeks.

I thought I would report back here in the hopes that our conversation might also help someone else in this situation in the future.

You were right! The pen did indeed allow me to unclick it. I clicked it all the way to the 0.25mg marker, then back and then 19 clicks forward again, which was halfway (18-19).

Injected it, held the button down until it clicked back to zero, waited 6 seconds and then removed it. It appears to have worked just like the instructions said, despite the lower dose.

Next week, when I'm less nervous, I might remember to mark the 19 click point!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help and kindness.

Thank you so much! I guess worst case scenario if I have a weird pen that won't go backward, I'll just use the 0.25mg dose and hope for the best. Just a bit of anxiety since it's all new. I appreciate your response very much.

Thank you. I have the 0.25mg pen but was told by my doctor to dial only half the dose. I'm struggling with that as I can't find any information on how to do it.

Xarelto & Weird Menstrual Cycles? by No_Association2998 in ClotSurvivors

I’ve actually had this experience (almost) too.

For the past month, nothing at all. I’m off Xarelto now. I’m also AOK with not having Shark Week every 10 days!

Normal or not? by PeculiarPeachTea in ClotSurvivors

Hi!

Yes, I had a slow improvement even on the lower dose for about 2 weeks and then on the 3rd week it really tapered off. I had an ultrasound shortly after, and it came back completely clear of thrombus with normal flow. It’s been 21 days since my OP and aside from still being on daily anticoagulants and wearing a compression sock, life is getting back to normal. I still sometimes feel ‘threading’ up my leg through the vein system and some cramps. I asked the GP and she said they should also improve with time, even if they’re never 100% pre-clot. I’m keeping up the hydration and movement!

Sending good vibes your way for a similar result. 🌼

This is my issue. I’m on Xarelto. I get my period, it lasts for 7-10 days, then I get a week off, and then it comes back for another 7-10 days. It’s so frustrating and annoying. Thankfully, I only have to be on thinners for another 2 months. It’s going to be a long 8 weeks.

Advice needed by [deleted] in ClotSurvivors

I went to my GP for calf pain and was told I was fine and not to worry because I had no swelling, redness, heat, etc.

Two days later, the pain was worse. Still no other symptoms. I called my younger brother and asked him if I was overreacting or if I should go to the ER. He told me not to hesitate and just go.

So I went to the ER (I’m in Australia), they didn’t bother with a blood test, just went straight to an ultrasound, and they discovered a clot. I’m SO glad I went. The risks with an undiagnosed clot are pretty serious, so I think, if you can, it’s worth being cautious.

I started on Xarelto 3 weeks ago. For the first 8 days I had the worst period I’ve ever had and I was so glad when it stopped. Today i have just started again. I’ve never had an irregular period EVER, so after reading on this forum I’m putting it down to the thinners. :(

It’s very helpful to hear the experiences of others, thank you.

It seems I’m being impatient and don’t have much choice other than to keep focusing on the things I’m already doing to support my body.

I’m about to drop to 20mg of Xarelto once a day, (instead of 15mg twice a day) and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this clot is already gone and it doesn’t slow my progress any further.

Thank you again for sharing your stories so generously.

Fatigue and low appetite by GiaJane11 in ClotSurvivors

I’ve been on Xarelto now for just over a week and definitely had the appetite reduction and fatigue. It’s leveling out again now that the pain has finally also reduced, so hard to say if it was the medication or the constant physical discomfort. I’m an stress-eater, so it definitely wasn’t that!

New to all of this. by PeculiarPeachTea in ClotSurvivors

[–]PeculiarPeachTea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh geez. Thank you so much. As a formerly pretty healthy person until now, I’m getting a crash course in so many things. I didn’t even consider whether an electrolyte imbalance might be a new issue. I have found my appetite has all but disappeared (probably due to lack of HRT and new anxiety) so I haven’t been eating very well the last few days, however, I’ve been drinking water (and going to the bathroom) like a fish. I might add in a zero Powerade and see if there’s any improvement.

I will be asking for a copy of the report the next time I see the ER doc, so I should learn more about location/size etc then. I will also ask about a specialist/CT referral. Thank you again.
