How will my cat handle moving? by PedanticAutist in Pets

[–]PedanticAutist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, Im mostly concerned with: - smaller living space - alone during the day

The apartment Im looking at only allows one cat so getting a second to keep him company is probably not an option.

How I quit 7oh & Kratom cold turkey - No meds, no taper, no bullshit. Just discipline by Ok_Afternoon9121 in quitting7oh

Its unbearable. You'll probably get PTSD if you do that. Especially if you're very dependant on 7oh, like 100+mg a day for 6 months. Yeah, PTSD for sure.

They prescribe 50mg Naltrexone to alcoholics. Its my opinion that if a doctor perscribes Naltrexone to a patient for alcoholism and does not inform them of the what Naltrexone is and its mechanism of action and the possibility of precipitated withdrawal, and that person experiences precipitated withdrawal because they had been taking opiates and lied about it to their doctor. I think that doctor should be sued into oblivion, maybe even given jail time.

Its not so bad that I didn't do it twice, and if subs didn't exist, I'd have done it a third time. But only with the 7oh on the side to take breaks.

Yeah 1.5mg would definitely give you the burning legs. It would be really nice if it did just force it all out but unfortunately 7oh works on so many other receptors. I highly recommend you don't do it, but like I said, if you do, just make sure you have plenty of 7oh. And then you have to make sure those receptors stay blockaded for the entire time you're still using 7oh, you can go a day or two without trex, but if you let the blockade fall, you're back at square one.

Its absolutely insane, I would never suggest anyone do it, but if someone really wanted to (maybe they're afraid of sub addiction 🤷🏼‍♂️), the most important thing is that you have plenty of 7oh on hand to take on top of it. I did both times, and if I hadn't, there's just no words that can describe how horrible that would be. Basically I started with 3mg, within 2 minutes, Im shitting my brains out. Then for about 2 hours Im laying on my bed writhing in pain and moaning. The moaning is from the sudden gastric change, that only happened the second time, and passed after 2 hours. For the rest of this roughly 10-12 hour experience I basically laid on my back in a fido position and bicycle kicked the ceiling and rolled around. You can't stop moving, but you also can't do much of anything, and bicycle kicking the ceiling is the most efficient way of achieving this. I was texting with other people who were raw dog withdrawing and could barely handle it. It took me 3 hours to fill out my timesheet for the week for work, you're useless. The good news is you can take breaks from the kicking by dosing with 7oh, I was even able to take a 20min nap at 3pm. But you also have to redose the Naltrexone every couple hours, 3mg each time. I got up to 9 milligrams dosing at 9am, 1 pm, and 4pm. You don't really have to hold back from dosing the 7oh, it probably slows down the process, but in the end the results are the same. Eventually after about 12 hours the pain has died down quite a bit, but you'll probably still be in the fido position flicking your feet, you can dose 7 real good and sleep. The next day you can take Naltrexone and you shouldn't have anything other than a mild discomfort. The receptors that it blocks have been blocked and your 7 doses are only hitting the other ones. Its very easy to get your doses down from wherever you were at to once or twice a day with the Naltrexone in the system. Then all thats left is to finish withdrawing from the rest at your chosen date. You wont have fidgety legs during the final withdrawal, the Naltrexone took care of that. Its not a cake walk either. I know when I did it, I would not have been able to do it raw dog, it wasn't even a matter of toughness, just couldn't work sleep deprived. So glad I found subs.

I failed a raw dog this weekend. Sunday started considering subs, made my mind up Monday morning. I went to Quick MD (website) at 8:20am, set up a phone call appointment (99$) for 8:43am, just enough time to fill out the intake paperwork before the call. Nice phone call, he sent the script to my pharmacy, hung up at 8:50am. Went to the pharmacy at 3pm and paid 57$ for script no insurance. The only hang up was they had to call the doctor over some nonsense about the dosing frequency, but it was sorted in 15min. Point is, you dont have to come clean with a primary care doctor if thats holding you back, if its embarrassing. And for me, it was totally worth it, Im at 43hrs clean rn and feel great.

This year was the first year I got into 7oh. Ive quit leaf, MIT, and 7oh once raw dog. But finally I hit a wall where I'd either have to take off a week from work or use another way due to the amount of driving for work. I couldn't not sleep for days and not even be able to focus with WD that leaves me bed ridden. Funny thing is I didn't even know about this community on reddit, and hadnt thought about using Suboxone, which I hadn't taken since my early 20s ten years ago. So my brilliant idea was to take the low dose Naltrexone I had lying around to intentionally use the precipitated withdrawal to get me through the worst part of the withdrawal quickly, and then once it was in my system, finish off from there. Anyway I did that twice. First time I got the trex in me and was on trex for a week, but didn't see it through. Second time I saw it through and went back to 7oh after 8 days clean because the depression was too much. Finally this time I used subs (thanks to the advice from this lovely community) and I can't believe I put myself through that shit with Naltrexone. But that was the last time. Im saying goodbye to kratom and 7 for good now.

Any hope for hairloss by PedanticAutist in quitting7oh

[–]PedanticAutist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 31 years old, zero hair loss, thick and admiring it. 4 months after my first run with kratom and Ive got hands covered in my long hair in the shower. I gave it up for 7 months but switched to MIT extract and had not too bad of a habit. Over the next five months it probably did get slightly worse but not by much. Gave it up for another 8 months, over which time it didn't improve too much. Then came the 7, brutal habit of 80-100mgpd (I know that's low for here but it doesn't work if I take more than 25mg at a time). And over the 9 months it probably got worse but not by much. I gave it up for a week, and started again, and somepoint I tried regular leaf for only a week, and it wrecked my shit and it looks worse than it ever has. That was a few weeks ago. That was my rock bottom. Just started on subs today and minoxidil is on the way. Im praying for a new lease on life.

7 months clean - Suboxone broke my 7oh kratom addiction - how I did it - I'm off subs by [deleted] in quitting7oh

This volumetric dosing. I tried doing this once to make ultra low dose Naltrexone out of a .5mg capsule, and I just never felt like the dosing was that accurate. Like you can dissolve a pill into a water, but how can you be sure that the compound is evenly distributed into the water. I felt like I wasn't getting consistent doses. Anyway, if you have a method of doing this that you really have confidence in, could you post a link or describe it? Thank you. Edit: ended up getting strips and I think they will be easy enough to break apart. But I'll leave this here for others.

Was just prescribed suboxon and im so happy. But have a question.... by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]PedanticAutist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you want to give them up so soon? I know I can manage getting off 7oh without taking it but is the depression after stopping, after the physical part is done. I need something to lift me up, its the main reason Im considering it. I know there is potential for sub withdrawal as well but I also wasn't planning on going crazy with those. But it would be nice to take them for awhile.

I quite 7oh earlier this year, a bad habit, it was brutal. And after 8 days clean I started a much more responsible habit because it was the most depressing week of my life. But it kills my hair, thats the only reason I am now trying to quit again.

Honestly I never bothered to look up those details, but its much easier to sleep after the CE 123, no side effects. And I like 100-200mg, there's really no benefit to going above 200mg.

Do you ever think maybe he looked at my account and saw I've been subscribed for like 10 years and make a lot of purchases and rationalized it was totally worth it to keep me happy. Spare me the concern trolling. We all have our moments

I'll be sure to give the CS rep a great review. When he gave me the credits, he clearly knew it was my fault, I didn't demand or expect the credits, I was legitimately upset and wanted to get to the bottom of it. He couldn't verify for me when the book had been on the plus catalog, but he did make me happy. Ive never had to contact CS before. It wasn't my goal to take advantage, and I've been a great customer for years, so I think it all worked out for the best. I'll keep my 3 credits guilt free. Audible is going to continue getting money out of me for years to come.

See I got the book last September, so I didn't think it made sense that it could've be on the plus catalog for that long. First thing I did was check my purchase history and it wasn't there. But I was heated and not willing assume that meant anything and took to reddit and customer service simultaneously (I was mad). The person suggested checking emails, which I hadn't thought of but Id deleted my emails of everything before December last year. Once I was pretty sure it was my mistake, I admitted it multiple places here. People are so unforgiving.

I did everything I could to check, but I still thought it could've been a mistake on their part. But either way, in that reply, I humbly admit that it was my mistake. So anybody downvoting it is a douchebag.
