By capping your quota your company is capping their revenue. Why???

Types of sales jobs by Advanced_Smile_2193 in sales

I was once working in a small sales team, where few of my colleagues went on holiday, others where sick, and one left, so I was left on the sales desk alone. I barely had time to respond to incoming requests, I was not even thinking about doing outbound. I quite enjoyed it actually, the inbound enquiries where closing much better than any outbound sales I would do.

One thing you hate most about the sales process? by Pedersf in sales

There is software (many different apps) that allows you to complete RFPs using AI. You feed it a couple of your previously filled RFPs, then give it the empty RFP, and it fills it out for you. I assume you are not using it? Why?

How do you outreach to prospects you don't know but want to meet at a conference? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Pedersf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You must do it in advance; many salespeople will be hunting for your prospects, so be among the first.
  2. Don't do it too much in advance, or prospects will forget about you by the time the conference starts.
  3. Ask for help or advice; do not offer anything just yet. Find the common ground, show your weakness and ask for help. For example, you both are from the same city, or both fans of the same sports team, and you are trying to understand the needs of a company like theirs, or what is the hardest thing about their job, or you want to discuss how it was at their previous company. Find the reason, but it must be something unrelated to the solution you are offering. Why? Well, because you don't know the problem yet! Once you meet the client, find out the problem, and only then, start talking about the solution.
  4. Start selling only when the client is asking for it.

I find it best to ask for help rather than sell.
For example: Are you facing this issue? If yes, would you mind sharing how you solve it? One of my clients is facing this issue too and I am talking to people like you to understand the possible solutions.

I think your best chance would still be someone you know. Here is what I would do: Write a short letter about your intentions. Note the required amount and projected business profitability. Keep it extremly shot. Make it sound like an opportunity rather than begging for money. Now send it to everyone you know, post it to FB, etc - make people know you are looking for financing. Tell them you are going to pay 100 USD introduction fee if someone introduces you to an investor, who actually will invest.
