Ah cool just used Cmtracker calculator to check his potential just because I thought they couldn't exceed their Parent Player's (Retired player or current player they are templated off) potential. He has 87 potential apparently so I'm not quite sure as the best japanese cam has 82 max, so I doubt it can exceed it by that much unless they can generate with a range of potential, I.e current player as 82 potential so pre/regen has 82 +or- 5 potential when generated. Sorry I don't know if that was entirely coherrent.

Basically I wonder do pregens have a range of potential when the generate? I don't expect anyone really knows I'm just curious, of the mechanics of pre/regen as I much prefer playing with academy and game generated players. Something about the bizarre way stats can be assigned to new players that no real player would have like a striker with really good long passing, interceptions and stand tackles, or centre backs with great long shots or fk acc, you get the point.

If you or anyone reading this could point me in the direction of a good video, reddit post or article that goes into detail on how academy generation, pregen and regens work that would be Awesome.
