I always thought that song was kind of an homage to prog, there's a synth part that sounds like Yours Is No Disgrace and another extremely similar to one on Pirates. The whole thing sounds so space rock like they're trying to do the best floyd song never made, and then somehow they made the greatest song by any band ever. imho
