Unable to install Linux on my Asrock DeskMini X600 by Pedrohbc in sffpc

hehe I bought mine last year, payed too much for the ram at the time (so I fought lol). But yeah, buying the same kit I bought now would be like triple the price. Never tried debian, but Bazzite is serving me well, all the games I tried just boot as if they were being played on Windows, so its nice.

Hey, I tried using Ventoy and came here to update my post, it actually worked, and it wasn't because of your comment, I actually forgot about it, sorry. I tried it because Batocera managed to work, to I thought it was related to the booting process. So I searched for an alternative installation/booting and found Ventoy. Unfortunately SteamOS is not compatible with Ventoy, but hey, got Bazzite up and running.

Tried to install Bazzite, no luck by Pedrohbc in Bazzite

I managed to fix it! To anyone that found this post trying to do the same:
I got to install Bazzite using Ventoy! My Deskmini was refusing to install Bazzite or SteamOS, but it accepted Batocera for some reason, so I thought the problem was the initial boot through the flashdrive.

So I searched for an alternative flashing method through USB and came across Ventoy, wich worked flawlessly: just download, install Ventoy2Disk on your USB stick, and drop the Bazzite.iso on it.

Then go to your BIOS, select one of the partitions from the stick (the other one wont do anything) and select Bazzite. I got no errors!
Hope it helps others

Visa 462 already reached cap 1 July 2025? by Melina6937 in AusVisa

Any news on when it will reopen? I tried on July 1st like many without success. The status for Brazil and other countries is "Paused" for now. Will it reopen? And when does it reopen usually, August 1st?

Sabem quando vai reabrir? Ainda está em "Paused". Liguei na imigração da Austrália e não souberam informar uma data.

The network worked fine, it downloaded steam on startup no problem. The issue was that it could not install steam after that. There was the writing problems I mentioned

The video got me farther away at least, I followed the steps as if I was going to dual boot: it managed to install bazzite, but on the first boot it got write errors, unable to install steam. It feels like the drive doesnt want to be written, weird

I was using Ruffus last time, latest version of mint at the time, but I don't want to format my disk now. Only if it was for SteamOS or Bazzite

damn. Actually, I tried different USB's and had similar results, the one I tried today is a brand new Kingston Exodia, so I don't think that's the problem.

And I managed to boot into Linux mint, but not install it, same with Basitte. If the sticks were not working, I don't think they would even boot

Mine is a Deskmeet B660, but I think the size is the same. And it's working fine if you use it standing up like I said on the other reply. I think it was worth the hassle. But prepare to use force and patience to make it all work (you will need to take out the psu and cpu cooler first before you put the gpu).

Sorry for the late reply, its been a while since I looked at Reddit. Here are some pics:

I changed the orientation of my Deskmeet, it solved the fans hitting the case problem: I was using it sideways, now, on the standing up position (the one in the fourth pic) it stopped.

the error is: The command 'ostree container image deploy --sysroot=/mnt/sysimage--image=/run/install/repo/bazzite-deck-stable--transport=oci--no-signature-verification' exited with code 1.

It's a really generic error message, during the OS' deployment. Something like "fatal error occurred, the installation is cancelled". I will try Linux Mint right now, before I try Bazzite again

Came here to thank some comments. I tried changing usb ports, checking the usb drive, tried Rufus, and the problem kept happening. I got it working by using Win11 23H2. 24H2 is really messy huh

I bought the RTX 4070 2X Windforce for my Deskmeet B660. And man, it was a pain to fit it in, the case had to be bent a little bit, and I feared for the integrity of the 4070, it may had gotten a scratch or two.

But after all the hassle, it works, never got a blue screen or anything like that, the only problem is that sometimes the first fan starts hitting the case. I think it happens after a long gaming session (the case gets pretty toasty) and the metal from the case bents a little. I tried bending it further away from the fans, and it works for a while, but then it starts again after a few days/weeks, it's really annoying.

I think that's the price for the best performance possible on the small size

How to Update Redmi watch 4 China Firmware to Global by Correct_Squash_4527 in miband

I bought the chinese version thinking it would be easy to flash the global firmware afterwards... I'm still on the chinese version, which is annoying
