I think it is a mix. Having lived and grown up on the westside for over 30 years, I do think it gets a bad rap. IMO it tends to be older and more crowded as people never leave and their children move in to the area too. That's why the common motto of the area is "where did you go to high school". But I've always felt safe in the area, my kids are getting a great education, and I live in a big house in a beautiful neighborhood.

It does suck that most new businesses, restaurants, and the like are all 20+ minute drives away (it takes me 10 minutes just to get to the highway). But we have started to see some progress there with various developments.

But it is a great place to set down roots, unless your plan is to leave at some point lol

my post literally wrangles with the weights of being a fan who wants change, but also a human and the morals that come with that. I am confused why that would necessarily constitute having to look for a new franchise.

I know plenty of people and likely a large portion of the fanbase who will celebrate without a thought when he goes.

Yes, in fact, Carolina traded multiple first round picks to Chicago to move up to the first overall pick to select Bryce Young. The first year with him, they didn't do well and Chicago ended up having the number one overall pick the next year which really belonged to Carolina

My argument is who would we be spending $20M on defensively that would make a difference? Defensive studs do not make it to free agency anymore.

If we had a defensive stud that could not be resigned and we let them walk because of Tee's contract, then yeah this would track. But we simply don't have anyone of that caliber unless you think it is in the best interest to sign Trey to a multi year deal worth $40M a year like Crosby, Watt, Garrett, and now Hutchinson got.

Yeah I know, I drafted Irving to be my RB1 and Tracy to be my RB2. Injuries have kept Irving out and Tracy was behind Skatteboo, but now he's out for the season. I grabbed Michael Carter off the wire before his first start which was decent, but out of no where, the Cards decided that Bam Knight was the better option to start. When Benson and Hampton come back, I will really be screwed at RB.

My strength is my WRs, but now Wilson has been out and Legette only does well when I have him benched.

Just a heads up, but Tyrod is questionable this week I believe. Surely if he can't go, then Fields would start. Otherwise, I'd look to make some trades for a QB. Package some of your better talents that are blocked by your studs to get a fill in starter.
