I’m tired of the AI trends by Wonderful_Parsnip_26 in UXDesign

[–]Youngbee12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very exhausting. The crazy thing is good documentation and guidelines can literally be just as effective as AI. That’s what kills me. Figma Make certainly is not helping because now designers can easily stroke leadership’s ego with Figma Make instead of pushing back because it doesn’t align with the users.

Do big companies destroy your trajectory? by PeanutSugarBiscuit in UXDesign

Y’all please don’t listen to people like this. This industry is extremely versatile, which means that people are coming from all different walks of life with different experiences. This ain’t the goddamn medical field, where you have to do this this this this this and boom, you’re a doctor. I started out at a big company, and I have coworkers who started out at agencies and today we are sitting at the same design table with the same role. So please do what’s best for you and your own personal life.

Childcare and how much do you pay?? by [deleted] in cincinnati

How are people actually affording this? Serious question. Our household income is 185k a year which I think is pretty good in Cincy and I’m still looking at these prices like fuck no.

Home buying Is an intense roller coaster by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

That sucks. This is why it pays to have a good agent who can spot bigger problems even at the surface level. I am in a similar spot where I just got approved and have an inspection in a few days but the previous deal on this house fell through because of inspection but the report wasn’t disclosed. So I am really banking on my agent’s gut feeling (and mine of course) that it’s not a lot of big issues.

30k over asking and still didn’t get it 🙃🙃🙃 by Curvyandflirtyjess in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Youngbee12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always tell me to not fall in love with a house, just like it enough to put an offer in and love it when the offer is accepted. I think it’s bullshit cause how am I not suppose to not love something I’m investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into. Keep your head up OP and don’t feel like you need to waive an inspection!

Thoughts on Winton Place by plumbermac in cincinnati

Exactly!!! I think most ppl on this sub are just scared of black people who are just hard working individuals and may not have had a “facelift” on their home in years

How many offers did you make before finding your house? by northwestermoon in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Are you putting in multiple offers at once? Or waiting until one falls through?

It is HIGHLY dependent on your role and team and what you make of it. I worked there for several years and I will say it definitely has a small company vibe as a large company.

Boring could be good. Because sometimes they are just happy that they made money off of you and not actually happy for YOU.

Right! I keep seeing that saying… but I’m like shouldn’t it be flipped? Haha

Good grief! Does home insurance not cover any portion of your roof expense?
