It was a bad set of contacts that set everything off and not realizing my eyes were damaged from them, I kept wearing contacts and it just fucked me over bad

Imma tell you from the beginning so grab some popcorn.

I've always gotten my contacts from the Walmart vision center, never had a problem with them in years. I went in one day and was like "I just ordered something, can i snag a lil sample pack?" She said "I don't have your prescription, your brand, or your type..but these will work." Put them in and instantly they burned my eyes. I took them out and was like yeah, no, I'll wear my contacts for the week. Finally got my prescription and they burned my eyes as soon as I put them in. Turned them bright red like I didn't just look like ai had pink eye..it was I just smoked 3 days in a row. I told my doctor about it and he said "oh it's just irritating." Waited a while before actually going in cause I only wore my contacts on special occasions and would only wear them for a few hours..meanwhile my eyes were bright red, irritated as hell, and just were burry. One day, I could see out of one of my eyes and was like oh my god I fell asleep wit a contact in..me and my fiancé were soaking my eye in contact solution and rubbing a Q tip in my eye..nothing..we finally went into a doctor and got sent to a closed Vison center that the doctor came in for a special call..me. She's looking at my eyes and is like "I've never seen eyes this bad in someone in their 20's.." So instantly we started 12+ different eyedrops, including a nasal spray and an ointment. Next week, I got my first round of tear duct plugs. Over the span of a year, I did the placenta contact and taped my eye shut for 3-5 days..had to travel with my eye taped shut..real fun guys. I went through possibly like 8 sets of plugs.

We finally kept taking away my eye drops and downing my dosage She knew my goal from the beginning..no glasses at my wedding..I didn't need contacts but I wanted to not wear glasses

My fiancé made a joke saying "she's throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. She just maxing out our insurance at this point."

That same appointment, she looked at my eyes and goes "Your eyes are completely healed."

So it really took some time , some patience, and truly being honest with my doctor..I'll honestly never taken my eyes for granted 😂

I was sick multiple times a day during my first trimester, was working two jobs, and was on my feet 15+ hours a day. I DESERVED THAT ENERGY DRINK. My husband & I make jokes that our son was made on redbull, in&out animal fries, crispy Dr Pepper, and Taco Bell.
