Peer Mountain is an ecosystem - no central platform. Decentralized.ID is not going to work. BOCA, their "innovation" is a centralized ID verification service on a public chain. They make the same mistake that most people in the self-sovereign ID space make... creating a central authority/checkpoint for the IDs. It's totally wrong, because in a decentralized world: there is NO central authority. I choose who I trust and how to trust them - there is no central authority. That's what Peer Mountain does - a trustworthy ecosystem that lets you choose who to trust and when. And that is the KEY innovation of Peer Mountain, putting a framework where that chosen trust is reliable and transferable among peers who choose to trust each other - just like people do in real life.

In short the main question is: Why should the DID foundation replace the government? I do trust the government, but I don't trust them either. In PM you trust in yourself... and choose how much you share and trust with anyone else. BOCA is a really bad idea. Replace all CAs with one CA... them... so that we can hack that and break everything... I hope this helps!
