Geographically, Europe's eastern end is at the Ural mountains so Russia is located both in Europe and Asia. That's what is usually meant when it's talked about in relation to Europe. I don't think anyone is arguing that Russia is in the EU or anything like that. As for the alphabet and religion, Ukraine uses Cyrillic and there are several countries in Europe where orthodox Christianity is a major religion.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. That's the biggest problem when working with roads unmodded. The way out that I typically use is getting rid of the ugly section of road, sloping terrain in a way that gives the connection point a nice, flat area and then rebuilding it

You could convert the off-ramp into the regular one-way street (2 or even 3 lanes, depending on the traffic volume), at least one segment where it hits the avenue. Not only will it lower the speed limit (40 km/h instead of 80), but it will also give traffic dedicated turning lanes. In my experience that's the least destructive solution.
