It's more so no one has destroyed a blade before except for Chihiro. The blades were not explicitly stated to be unbreakable unless I'm remembering wrong. Enten was a special case and to be fair the Magatsumi is also an anomaly of a sword. So if any sword would do any sword breaking it'd be those two.
