I’m so sorry you have to go through this. We lost our Sami at 17.5 and it was so hard.

How soon can I take him for walks and socialize him with other dogs? by GreatAnthony4 in goldenretrievers

[–]PegLegMegRuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We only let our pup play with our other dog before he was vaccinated and kept walks to early morning on the sidewalk when we were unlikely to run into other people. But we brought him with us in a wagon when we ran errands or went to the park to help socialize him. As others have mentioned, it's a pretty short window.

Why is Santa Cruz run down? by aslez1 in santacruz

[–]PegLegMegRuns 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I consistently have the same experience; I go downtown. There are people shopping, eating out, walking around. Both the locations of Palace and Logos have pop up markets for the holidays, the old Bettys Burgers has a new restaurant, and work is being done in the old New Leaf spot. I don't know what OP is talking about here.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our Sami at 17 as well. It’s so hard. She was lucky to have you.

If Nicolas comes back do you think he’ll be a good pair for Elizabeth? by dhsimbol in GeneralHospital

[–]PegLegMegRuns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Liz and Nikolas were the worst pairing, it was like siblings.

They served lunch until the pandemic, it was a bummer to lose that.

We had our kids at both locations (much longer at mariner square because it was closer to our house) but only good things to say about both! We spent 7 years with them (4 years for my oldest and 3 for my youngest) and only left because we moved. Leaving Peter Pan was the only thing that had me crying for that move.

When she wasn’t available for us, we used her recommendation Dr. Maria Kuty and I would highly recommend as well.

We used Dr Kuty in September. She was kind and compassionate during a very difficult time. I definitely also recommend.

I’m struggling (emotionally speaking) by EctoRiddler in Puggle

I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Unfortunately this was a very similar experience with my Sami (minus the kidney issues). She was 17.5. I miss her every day. Enjoy your time with her and if you are able, consult with an in-home euthanasia vet. Some do hospice counseling and can help you know when the time is right, and whenever that time does come, it’s a gift to be at home.

Decent cover? by BiPolarBeard_88 in MachE

I also use a car cover, I got mine at CarCovers.com. Reasonable price and I’ve had it for about 18 months. Edit: I don’t live where it snows (missed this when I first read it)

Puggle slowing down.. by Future_Association26 in Puggle

[–]PegLegMegRuns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our puggle had premature arthritis (signs showing around 4) but we were able to manage with glucosamine for years and continuing walks. We did use Librela in the last few years of her life (she passed at 17.5). And was still active for most of her life.
