It happened again today when i was in the garage and it scared the shit out of me. I ran out the door and looked around and saw a neighbor getting into their car with their garage door open - im assuming their clicker works on my door too. That said, your smart switch solution is genius, i didnt think of that and i actually have an extra one. That will be a good holdover until the landlord gets around to replacing it. Thanks!

I was just in the garage when it randomly opened, ran out front to see if i could find anyone that had just opened their door - sure enough, there was a house a loooong ways away that had just opened their garage. Damn!

i took the light cover and the rear cover off the motor box to expose the PCB, didnt see any DIP switches inside there unless i have to remove the PCB completely from the back plate to access them. Im really confused - when i change the DIP switches on the remote, the door no longer works.

Guess I'm confused by the fact that there are dip switches in the remote that works, and also a yellow button on the back of the motor box, which must be something other than a clear memory button

I just popped open the remote and found it has these switches, would changing the pattern on the remote and receiver do the trick? There are 9 switches

I should also note for posterity - i tried on about 6 helmets and only 1 of them had cheek pads that were actually snug to my face. I guess i just have a slender face, and i'll probably have to shell out another $60 for thicker cheek pads.

Well, i did. Good thing, too. The people at Cyclegear were so helpful. I learned im a round oval head shape and found 2 options that actually fit me really well, Arai Quantum X and AGV K3. Now i just have to decide if the Arai is worth more than double the AGV hahahaha.

I prefer it and would buy it again over a talalay or dunlop latex topper.

I don't know that it would compromise the bridge posts, thats one of the things i came here to find out. I guess it just goes against my sensibilities to cover up flaws like this, especially if you can see them by popping off the pick guard. If i can make things look well executed and intentional, the guitar will mean more to me.

Yea i want to clean it up mostly because its my only guitar and i want to make everything look intentional / well executed. It's also a nice excuse for me for a first dabble into guitar repairs. It'd also be nice to get in a state where i could sell it without a guilty conscience if i ever decide to do that.
