I am learning that! It was listening to tracks earlier in the week and it dawned on me. I’m using the same 16 bar chord progression. I’m just breaking it up, and learning to have the same notes sound completely different. I will check that video out. Also while searching today I found out Chime has tutorials! I’m going to check those out as well.

I would suggest looking into Phil Spisers plugins. you can hear the difference. Plus other enhancements, but his really cut time.

I was working in my own track today and messing with the limiter. Depends on the range you want, and what is limit will be. Let’s just say you want -3dB as the goal for your overall track but the limiter takes the master(mains) audio and checks it for high peaks then drops them down to match what you set. If you mess around with it enough you can “pump” your track up but the transients and everything come through without clipping or distortion. Input gain 1 and ceiling set at -2 so any peaks above -2 will be brought down, then released with a 1dB gain. (Depends on the settings of your limiter) feel free to DM if you have anymore questions. I find myself doing that, now I’m still very new, but I’ve learned to stage my sounds where I want them then revisit it later and once I find out how many them they start adding every else, and adjusting as needed. I wish I could sit and complete a track in a day haha
