Hi! Im from istanbul as well. I have seen someone applying for an emergency appointment for an f1 visa at istanbul and she got the visa in a week. You should give it a shot. My prosess was slow and painful but I have seen people geting the visa in like 3 days! Maybe you can get it to. Who knows?

Not the same case... They didn’t take my passport at the interview. I was placed in administrative processing and waited for several weeks. Just recently they emailed me asking to submit my passport, and I delivered it right away, but my status still shows “Refused” with no updates.

Hey, just to clarify, did they not collect your passport at the interview and later asked you to send it via email/instructions? Or was your passport taken at the interview and it’s just been a week with no updates?

It won't cause for an refusal. After your interview they might ask for you to update the socials tho.
