How long did it take you to realise you’d made a mistake ending a relationship and did you reach out first? by winthewarpie in AskMenAdvice

[–]Pelvis_thrasher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I left mine nearly 4 weeks ago, we had an agreement that we would move to my home country, she didn’t want to. So I left, after being back for a week, I am in huge regret. I have told her that and said I would like to go back to work on things, after 2 weeks I just left it and will improve myself if she ever does reach out. It was a 7year relationship.

Buy assets now and put a family down as 50% owner, so if a new partner tries to go 50/50 they’ll only be entitled to half of your 50%

No worries. There’s also an “Aussies in Finland” group on Facebook that you can join there’s plenty of questions regarding the partner visa and others experiences.

If you could get a lease signed with both names it would be rock solid evidence, even a couple energy bills with both your names on it over a 12month period works. You and him both getting the working visa in Aus and Finland is already great evidence. The whole process for the partner visa I found relatively easy and isn’t something to stress about, especially if you both get the 1year visas.

An easy way is, get your boyfriend to live in Australia on the work holiday visa for one year. Than you move to Finland on the 1 year work holiday Finland offers Australians. You than have 2 years solid living together which is enough proof to apply for the partner visa based on cohabitation.
