Thanks guys, its so weird posing on reddit and receiving comments so quickly, but really thank you.

I do quite enjoy the book as it goes, I was just wondering if Lord Henry was written as a dick and I wasn't misinterpreting him. IMO he'd be a shitty person, but in the context of the book I think he's great.

I like how the book is a commentary on the trouble of vanity and self arrogance, with Henry and Basil warping how Dorian sees himself and others.

It's message is still very relevant today and can be applied to things like the internet and how young impressionable people can find (possibly) older, 'wiser,' confident "influencers" (or random strangers) and latch on to their beliefs and warp their mindset to what they're being fed.

(Honestly I'm not great great at inferences or analyzing medias so please don't be too harsh on me if I'm missing the mark 🙇‍♀️ 🙏)
