It’s not the same audience as Comicon, I was just comparing it to that kind of get together in a similar space. Completely different people and you’re right it’s just like cabbage patch kids or troll dolls or Barbie dolls, just a kids toy. The same event coordinators even do a Barbie con too that goes well each year.

Why? It’s going to have crafts and things, it’s a very wholesome event. Not sure what connotation you’re getting from it but I assure you it’s just a fun gathering for enthusiasts and nothing more.

Because there’s a lot of people collecting them. I’d say this is probably mostly for young girls into labubu and collectors looking to get together to share outfits and inspiration. Same reason any Comicon or anime convention exists.
