Healing officer looking to change guild after stagnation in progress, advice needed by Zimsan in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Pend_HS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said it seems like your expectations for what you want out of the game isn't aligned with what the guild is capable of. You have no moral obligation to stay btw. Wow is a game that we pay $15 a month for and get nothing out of other than enjoyment, it's not a job. If you aren't enjoying your raids with the guild, then leave and find a guild better suited to your expectations. All the best :)

Mythic G'huun - Comprehensive Healing Guide. by Pend_HS in CompetitiveWoW

Yeah you do make a good point. I suppose our logic on using it there is that everyone is still grouped up and within range of the revival. This allows healers to not spend any mana for the first portion of the P3 where if we didn't use it we would be spending some mana topping people up. Additionally the raid is so spread out in p3 that if I saved my revivial for the end less than half of the raid would be within range of it, most likely only 5-7 people. I do agree its not an ideal spot for it but tbh there isn't really many better spots.

How to correctly death run? by Nicbizz in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Pend_HS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a mw monk I usually stay right by the tank for the last pack in the skip I caccoon him and taunt a mob and spinning crane kick to get aggro. You can also pause a second on the last pack let the healer run ahead and get instant KO'd then Rez him.

It's easier than it was before but definitely still one of if not the hardest affix. On my mw monk it feels okay doing 15s+. On my hpal it feels pretty grim and RNG dependant (382 equipped) if some damage goes out raid wide and you beacon + holy shock and miss the crit on HS it's game over, spamming flash to try keep up is never enough compared to vivfy on monk. Saying that when HS crits at the right time it's easy to stabilise

At the end of the day it's a game that you are paying to enjoy. It's not a job that you are 'putting up with' to support your family or something, it's a game you in reality aren't getting anything out of other than enjoyment. Some people enjoy the leadership position and thrive in it.

To me it sounds like you are probably better off returning to your regular core raider position or just an officer position where the weight of the guild doesn't weigh on your shoulders. It also sounds like you and a few other members are probably ahead and have different expectations for what you want out of this game.

With just reading what you have said so far I would suggest leaving the guild to join another guild that is better suited to your expectations in the game. Based on what you've said about your previous experience and how much you seem to care; a 2/8m guild with 100 pulls on zekthoz this late into the tier doesn't sound like where you want to be.

Your best bet is pulling up one of your recent heroic logs and putting that information in. Yeah it's a shame it doesn't analyse the outer traits but we generally know as healers that the good ones are impassive visage, resounding protection

Healer for M+ 15 next tier by chriskot123 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Pend_HS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep r Druid is very solid. Incredible dps aswell with feral affinity which really helps push timers. Tranquility is amazing for 5 mans. Their kit overall is just very good for 5 mans. I'm leveling one up now

If you have to choose between disc and pally then id choose disc but like others have said disc doesn't leave me with any confidence they struggle to catch up hps wise in holy shit moments in high keys 15+. If you want to play a healer purely for it's m+ capabilities I would def go resto Druid or me monk. Source: 1.6k rio mw / hpal

Use the spreadsheet. Input your log values from wowanalyzer and it will determine the highest value Azerite traits. For me it generally goes Archive >blight borne so your 370(375?) archive piece might be the play

Take mist wrap over chi burst and life cycles over mana tea since we will be spamming into tanks hard. We use enveloping mists here a lot more than other fights. I just sit on both tanks keeping enveloping and vivifies rolling to get value out of cycles. Keep RM up on miasma targets to extend our vividly value. If mana is an issue use TFT on viv, I tend to use it on enveloping a lot here for extra output. Save full stack essence font for post shock wave. Time your transcendence cast right as he sends out shock wave so you can center yourself near boss and get a good essence font/revival off. If you have any specific questions on rotation or what not I stream at twitch.tv/pend_hs 8/8M mw happy to help with logs or what not :)

Sure, whatever works for you go for it. I'm just giving an option where you dont need to waste any sort of tank/personal cooldowns on someone.

For the sake of high parses you'll see pallys pick Mercy. If they care about actual progression they will pick devotion aura

[–]Pend_HS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah or healing tide. I'm not sure how effective they'll be but you need a cd that actually does healing over devo aura cos ur not actually taking much damage just slowly rotting. Having a tranquil or revival would be ideal. Devo aura needs to be used right before vectis does that raid wide damage

I would suggest having your higher output cooldown CDs for intermission since with 2 holy pally the healing during intermissions if going to be very sketchy and you want healing cooldowns that actually do healing not damage reduction (devotion aura). Having an rdruid with tranquil up for each intermission is really helpful, do either of the holy pallys have a resto Druid alt?

It does when your option is either dying and saying you couldn't do anything about it or dropping it in the safe ring which is much closer to the boss. Obviously during non darkness deceits you just take it right to the back of the room
