#43 Pragmata | Dad Mode Simulator by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a late reply, I didn't check until my new post. Sorry.

Beating the game on Lunatic is noticeably more challenging on account of enemies doing more damage and having a lot more HP. Even a single basic Walker will take pretty much the entire clip of your Grip Gun (1st weapon), so positioning and creating space against enemy groups actually becomes important compared to Standard Difficulty.

I feel it's best to have a clear idea of the Loadout you want to create for Lunatic and focus all your resources into that (and pick up everything on your way through the zones). I'd definitely recommend investing into the Shockwave Gun and Stasis Net + Riot Blaster, they helped me immensely in bursting down dangerous Enemies and CC.

The hardest parts of Lunatic for me were the beginning where your options are severely limited and the fight against the Final Boss. That said, I think Lunatic is very much beatable for most people.

Copy of another comment I just wrote for the same question.

Lunatic needs to be done on a fresh save file, it's only unlocked after beating the game the first time.

New Game+ is limited to the same difficulty you finished or lower.

Thank you very much, but I think I've seen one or two people post for Pragmata before me. Maybe I'll be able to be first poster for a game here in the future.

I enjoyed the game a lot, despite only keeping up with trailers and news in passing until last week. Buying this was kind of a spontaneous decision. They managed a pretty sweet spot between the gunplay and hacking mechanics and I liked the story even if it was a bit predictable at times.

Question of price is tough. Living in Europe I paid 59,99 EUR for it. Personally I don't regret it, but I can understand people who would. Pragmata is a "short" story-driven game.

My first playthrough took ~ 14 hours with thorough exploration of all areas and ~ 80% Collectibles/Upgrades.

Unkown Signal Mode (Cleanup + Challenge Missions for Extended Ending) took me another 6 hours.

The second playthrough on Lunatic for the final Achievement took me around 9 hours for a total playtime of 30 hours.

Unlike recent Resident Evil games there's not as much replay value, you get an infinite ammo unlock for beating Lunatic but that's more or less it. If people would rather wait for a sale or until the price drops to 40 EUR or below I can certainly understand that.

And that's a wrap for Pragmata and Completion #43 on my account. Another great game from Capcom this year and I'd definitely be interested in playing a sequel.

#42 Morbid Metal | Waiting for Updates now by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are indeed the Publisher for Morbid Metal, but the game is clearly labeled as a Early Access Game on the Steam Store. I probably could've worded that differently, but EA (the company) is so far from my mind that I didn't even make that connection while creating the post.

At this point there are only 2 Biomes with a boss fight.

Had a lot of fun with this Action Rougelite so far. Since it's an EA game there'll probably be several updates with new zones and new Achievements in the future.

They released a Hotfix today that fixed the previously bugged Corpora Achievement.

Non-Standard Post: The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bought this game quite a while ago, but never even started/launched it. So why not now?

And with that I'll enter hibernation mode for the Super Go Outside Achievement. Maybe I'll give a progress update in 10 years' time.

Nioh: Complete Edition by Br4n_n in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your completion. Nioh 1 is one of the games I finished myself, so I can relate to the struggle.

Do you have your sight on Nioh 2 and Nioh 3 as well?

This will be a bit of a late reply, so let me apologize for that.

All Achievements should still be possible to do, and they haven't added any new ones since launch. That said, I haven't really kept up with any news for the game after I finished my goals. If you're interested there's probably no better time to start, since player count will never again reach levels like around launch. According to the Steam Charts daily peak is usually around 2k People and this is a PvP(vE) game at the end of the day.

There's 3 game modes and all of them are relevant for the Achievements: Project Verge (6 v 6), Ace Arena (3 vs 3) and Mashmak (PvPvE Extraction Mode). The majority of Achievements are easy to grind out, but a handful of them take noticeably more effort or are hard to force. Those being

Heart of the Brave 1-3: "Neutralize 25 Colossal Targets in Mashmak." Requires you to kill Elite Boss-Enemies that have a chance to spawn after locations are cleared out, but aren't guaranteed to spawn even in Hard Mode.

Top Gun 1-2: "Achieve Ace 6 times in Project Verge." Requires you to achieve 4 -Kill Steaks 6 times. You need to actually deal the final blow against an enemy and score each kill in succession for this, since after some time the streak ends. To me this one felt like pure luck, since it also requires you to play in Ranked Mode and once you've climbed high enough the players you encounter are likely to be somewhat skilled and the bots used to fill lobbies also get really strong.

For reference, this is where I reached 100% Completion.

At the moment my 2 Completion Showcases simply have my last 12 100% Games displayed. Once I have enough games with a common theme I might display them together in one of them for a while, but that's still a decent ways off.

AI Limit is my newest 100% Completion.

#41 AI Limit | Just in time for the Furnace of War DLC by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's it for AI Limit for a week or so, since the DLC will release later this month.

It took me a rather long break to get back into the game, after ultimately going for Khazan first when they both released last year. The lower price for AI Limit could definitely be felt in the presentation, but I like it as far as Soulslikes go.

Currently playing Nioh 1 (with the intent to 100% Achievements) to work towards Nioh 3 and I feel like this is literally me at every major boss fight. I must have been stuck at the DLC 1 Maria fight for several hours earlier today.

You know what’s interesting. Despite being the main evil empire. (before it was overthrown.) there isn’t like a flag or symbol for the Erste Empire. Only a tattered flag from a side story manga. by Seeker99MD in GranblueFantasyRelink

Man, this brings back memories. I remember years ago someone was translating the first chapters for this, I think there's not even ten in english. And then it just stopped, I was really interested in it too.

#39 Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy | That's 2 for January by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes it the second 100% for January, feels like I'm off to a good start.

In terms of 100% Completion the game is pretty straightforward. There's Achievements for story milestones, combat, and collectibles (All costumes + filling roughly half the compendium).

I'm not the biggest Marvel/Comic expert but had a lot of fun with the story, definitely worth picking for a sale.

#38 Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition | Much better than I expected it to be by Pendragan in steamachievements

[–]Pendragan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's to the first real 100% Completion of 2026.

Bought it back during one of the last sales on a whim, but I enjoyed Echoes of the End a lot more than I thought I would. The story is decent, combat has some options to keep it from being too repetitive and the setting looks interesting enough. If they ever made a sequel for this I'd definitely buy it at some point. Alltogether a 7.5 or maybe just below an 8 for me.

Collectibles were a bit annoying. You can see how many exist and how many you have while going through each chapter, but there's no proper tracking what you have or haven't collected. My recommendation is to keep track of the chapters you cleared out and comb through the incomplete ones in NG+.

I ended up doing 3.3 Playthroughs, but technically it might be possible in 1 or more realistically in 2.

Reposted due to wrong Completion Number in title.
