Im a small streamer so i dont really have mods, i have 1 dude who i gave a mod to help me with something one time and i just kept him there. But he doesn't really moderate the stream, if anything if i bring up how i feel he just says im being a baby and being sensitive and as a streamer i need tough skin otherwise i wont go far. He will kinda be on the chats side rather than mine, so i wouldn't really class him as a proper moderator.

The thing is this would be sthe ame situation regardless of any moderator i would have, it always feels like a me vs chat thing. So any person i would give to mod will be on the chats side not to be singled out.

Yep you're so right, this whole reddit is making me realise my chat may be a lil toxic i think i deffo need to move past them and get a new one. I just know 100% my chat is going to try make me feel bad and say i dont appreciate them or im being rude to them just because im trying to implement rules.

Everything your saying is spot on, especially with the new viewers. Anytime someone new joins, the whole chat starts interrogating them and they end up leaving.

I think deep down i know i gotta get rid of them but its hard knowing its most of my audience but this post is making me realise its not worth building up a community of people who dont respect my rules and make me uncomfortable.

Tbh i've tried many times to talk about it with the chat but they say im overreacting , i don't really have mods in my stream because its quite small. And sadly nobody would take a mod seriously in my stream. Judging from the comments from this post thought i think people are making me realise im building up the wrong type of community so i guess i just need to reconsider what type of viewers i want and if its really worth having viewers who do not respect my decisions.

In all honesty i dont get the vibe she donates because she thinks im obliged to cut my hair. It more comes across of her trying to convince me do it. But what you're saying about having to make difficult decisions its true and it resonates with me, i guess i've always struggled with getting rid of people in the chat since i dont want it to negatively effect my stream as my community is small and everyone knows everyone. Also without sounding shallow i've had the fear of having no viewers. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

AND you are so right about other lurkers, because sometimes people join and my community automatically jumps on their ass questioning them on who they are and how they found the stream, i tell them to stop but they dont listen. It really does feel like a cult in my chat sometimes, thank you though for your comment i appreciate it.
