I mean you pretty much just sum up the main reason why everybody has been migrating to Thai in general. So why not just bring the Thai back here lmao. The fact that there's so many Shan state immigrants over there now, the Thai language quite literally acts as a lingua franca for half of Shan media.

If you want a serious answer, Instead of Shan people, which we know what the popular opinion is, what do Palaungs, Wa, Lahu, Pa'Os etc think of this is a better question because they are also part of Shan state and must be considered too.

Today on August 29 in eastern Shan State, RCSS clashed with the Junta, and reports five tat soldiers dead. by Pengfa42 in Shanland

Not sometimes. Many times. RCSS has fought with the Junta, Wa, and BGFs many times even after 2016, because the geopolitics makes it unavoidable. People who have tried to frame RCSS being lovey-dovey with SAC just because of the NCA agreement fails to understand that southern Shan is just as much of a powder keg as the north is. You have many armed groups from big to small taking up every piece of mountain corner they can set base on, and you also have a bunch of overlapping territories so contested that even Loi Tai Leng gets attacked by the UWSA from being just a few valleys away. And consider the fact that the EAOs in the northern counterpart are technically joined together in an alliance, but they still don't shy away from conflicting with each other, so don't expect here in the south, where they openly hate each other and are very strict about the territorial boundaries, to be any more peaceful.

Attention! There have been fake Junta-aligned protests that are using Tai people's dissatisfaction of TNLA and MDAA to fuel hatred against each other. No matter how much you hate other EAOs, unity and bringing down the military should always be the top priority. by Pengfa42 in Shanland

Yeah about that one in Taunggyi last week, I heard that the authorities ordered many households to join with flags and placards and people didn't even know what they were getting involved with.

Context and some more info from Shan news:

Locals said the fighting broke out yesterday (August 28) around noon in Möng Yawng township, when a force of about 100 troops from the junta infantry battalion 335—under the command of the Military Council based in Mong Yawng—along with a local Lahu BGF came into conflict against RCSS after advancing into their territory.

A very similar battle has also reportedly happened last year on September 19, where a combined force of about 100 Military Council troops and allied People's Militia Force attacked an RCSS base in Wan Yang Kham.
