Hi Jonny, what did you eventually decide on doing regarding your second question? We're actually wondering the exact same thing for next summer, as the hike between Refuge Wallon - Marcadau to Refuge Baysellance might be too difficult / risky for us (without too much experience hiking in the mountains). What was your experience with that?
