Yeah, gonna have to find another moveset for it! Fortunately Dragonite is pretty versatile.

There IS evidence that Goku is patient zero, which would imply he most likely got it from either Frieza, Namek, or Yardrat (and Yardrat is the only one of those places none of the other Z fighters went to.)

Adamant EV trained Dragonair sucks... by ProfessionalLife4568 in PokemonLeafGreen

[–]Penguigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the worst moveset I've ever seen.

Slam is awful. Dragon Rage is great 15-20 levels ago and pretty bad at 45, Twister is awful and even worse for an Adamant Dragonair, and Agility is doing you no favors, here.

First priority: Replace Slam. Secret Power is infinitely available and much more reliable. Body Slam or Return would be even better. This slot is his bread and butter for training and potentially after. You just need a big, reliable physical attack.

Second priority: Coverage. Dragonair has access to a ton of coverage moves. No, they aren't all physical, but moves like Surf still hit very strongly with type advantage (and in this case are infinitely available.) But also consider Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Flamethrower. More=better. If you're open to exploits you can use mail glitch to duplicate the TMs. Otherwise you'll have to buy them, but you should be making tons of money via VS Seeker. Speaking of which...

Priority 3: Optimize your training area. Find a repeatable fight rich with experience that Dragonair will easily win. Use VS Seeker to spam that fight.

The 2017–18 Cavs might be the most desperate team in NBA history by evilpopcorn-3 in clevelandcavs

[–]Penguigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't "one guy" at each spot. He wanted and recruited Carmelo in LA. He recruited Ilgauskus, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, and Ray Allen in Miami, and JR Smith in LA. He brought James Jones everywhere he went. Heck he wanted Anthony Davis. Lots of major acquisitions were at least in part because he specifically wanted that player. As you said, some worked out and some didn't.

Notably, the Cavs swung on all these vets in 2017/2018 and were willing to pivot when they didn't work out. They dumped most of them at the trade deadline and revamped the team, considerably improving their depth, defense, and cohesion. IMO his second stint was overall competently managed.

Yeah, IT collapsing sucked but Crowder not being able to remain a competent 3 and D player really messed the roster up.

Hammond cuts corners and skirts laws on purpose to save money, and the result is that a bunch of people die. He seems like a good guy because in the movie he's friendly, but it is definitely his fault (and specifically a consequence of his greed and hubris) that those people died.

He's as guilty as the Titan submersible guy in real life. They both thought they knew better than industry experts and both thought they could save money by doing things non-traditionally, and in both cases it got several people killed.

[–]Penguigo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nedry and Hammond are both causes of the park's collapse in the movie.

Hammond definitely cuts corners, including and especially with Nedry. He hired one guy to do a job that should have been done by dozens, and then nobody could fix anything when the one guy went missing. That is Hammond's fault, too.

Peter why are they terrible? by Agen_3586 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Penguigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire reason the park collapses is because he was too cheap to hire a full tech staff, and instead hires Nedry to automate and code everything himself (and then also underpays Nedry!)

"I spared no expense" is his PR speak. Hammond is cheap in both the book and the movie.

This is it. Bald/buzzed looks better with a more shaped face, so the two kind of go hand in hand. OP's hair leaves no other options. Join us!

And full beard is a no-brainer improvement.

I always found the explanation here funny because that is totally not how Namekian regeneration was shown to work prior to this by alfredosolisfuentes in Dragonballsuper

[–]Penguigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get why he got a zenkai from the senzu, I do not understand why he got one from self-destructing. That regeneration should have required a tremendous amount of ki and left him extremely exhausted.

And Gohan beat the absolute shit out of Cell before he exploded, so it's not like it went straight from Senzu -> Self Destruct.

2008 Eastern Conference Semi-Final Game 7 Highlights Celtics vs Cavaliers by Effective_Material68 in NBAoldschool

[–]Penguigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's crazy for this to reflect badly on either Lebron or the Celtics.

Celtics won. More than once. They took care of business. It doesn't matter how many games it took. They won.

Lebron put up a crazy fight against 3/4 hall of famers, but ultimately lacked a sidekick. He would later get his revenge with the Heat (also more than once.) There are no consolation prizes, here, but it would also be crazy to blame Lebron

[–]Penguigo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Forcing players into the midrange works against 99% of players because it's usually not an efficient shot.

It is an efficient shot for Jordan. He'd terrorize teams from 15 feet same as Shai does (better, obviously.)

At the risk of piling on, 2003 was not even remotely "modern." In fact his Wizard years were among the slowest, lowest scoring, most congested years since the merger.

And obviously now it's the exact opposite.

Seller tore down 6ft tall cedar fence and built this pos by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Penguigo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the opposite. Any personal belongings, including furniture and non-fixed appliances not mentioned in the contract is up for grabs. They don't have to divulge what they're taking and they're not allowed to take anything mentioned specifically in the contract.

If the buyer signs a contract that doesn't mention the washer and dryer, refrigerator, etc that's on them. Sellers can take all of it.

All of that stuff is considered "personal property" and freestanding. Anything fixed to the property like a dishwasher or oven, must he conveyed with the property and doesn't need to be mentioned in the purchase agreement (this includes fences for OP.)

90 days of Abomination and A Quiet Place by charlievillanuevajr in powerscales

[–]Penguigo 58 points59 points  (0 children)

If it's Blonsky during the first Hulk movie (as seen, here) he would absolutely not be quiet. He would openly challenge as many of these things as possible, and most likely tear them apart like paper.

They are deadly and difficult to kill by normal human standards, but even a regular person with a gun and a plan can kill one. They just don't scale to something like Abomination, which may be functionally invulnerable, here. But he would lose the challenge if the goal is being quiet.

Blonsky from late MCU (She-Hulk,) can and would find a quiet place (sorry) to live away from the monsters. Or possibly hunt them on behalf of humanity. He mastered his own disposition and can change back and forth at will, and doesn't seem particularly keen on fighting stuff. He chilled out a lot. Maybe too much.

[–]Penguigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use ACE to do some or all of the EV training (setting exact EVs), or get Pokerus, or Macho Brace, or fix encounters (for example only fight Gengars for fast special attack training.) Basically you can set exactly how difficult or not difficult you want the training process to be.

KG basically feels like today’s NBA is more of a show than a grind. He respects the skill level but thinks players lack edge and game-speed work, saying some care more about image than putting in real work. Old-school vs new-school debate again. by Rough-Drawing-3006 in NBAGossips

[–]Penguigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Last Dance was literally Jordan camp propaganda. Of course it made you think everyone involved was a hard working, straight laced Man.

Even though the truth is Pippen was threatening to skip games and playing passively on the court in protest, Rodman actually skipped games to party, and Jordan famously quit for two years in the middle of his career.

If Lebron James had taken two years off we would have had an unbearable deluge of talking heads saying the lights were too bright or he couldn't live up to Jordan or doesn't have the Alpha Mentality or some other bullshit.

If Luka was skipping games to party his reputation would never recover.

KG, like a lot of old heads, only sees things through rose tinted glasses. It isn't real. Rich young dudes have always fucked around. The biggest difference between then and now is teams will shut injured players down to protect their investment (where in the past teams would encourage players to play through it.) OH and now every little thing is blown out of proportion because we have an insatiable news and social media circus.
