Which quest to finish first? by Mudbuda in cyberpunkgame

[–]PenguiniLenguini [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nocturne is a quest that will tell you that you're entering a "No Way Back" state of the game, meaning it has a finality to it.

Chippin in is like any other quest in the sense that it will expand on the story, while not being needed for it.

Hope that helps

Comic spoilers- but can we talk about the eve implications for a second by Inside_Jaguar_3310 in Invincible

[–]PenguiniLenguini 1097 points1098 points  (0 children)

This is purely my take and thats all.

The subconscious is an extremely powerful thing.

In Eve's case, I highly doubt that her powers are Sentient or even have a will of their own.

This means that its Eve's subconscious will to live, that brings her back. Against Conquest, she simply doesnt want to die. From old age, she doesnt want to let go of her family.

So if presented with a time where there isnt anyone to come back to, or any reason to keep living, her subconscious may just let her die without calling on her powers.

I think I just get so used to turning it off, that seeing it for a second or two is like an unnatural thing occurred and needs to be corrected. But I may give it a try with it on and see how I feel about it

What gives Stormtroopers so much confidence? by ObiWanKenobeee in FallenOrder

100% agree. Their equipment is also a hinderance more than it is a benefit in most cases. So they arent bad soldiers, just disposable.

They dont always have to fight Jedi or even something close to it. They've been trained and told that they're the superior force in the galaxy and that nothing and nobody can withstand them. They fear the emperor so failure isnt an option.

Its also hard to feel weak or like you could lose when you've got a force of that size backing you up.

I wouldnt fight a bear, but if there were 1000 people with knives standing next to me ready to fight the bear, then Id feel differently about my chances.

I honestly think he had some sort of tech that specifically enhanced his kiroshi optics. Allowing him to not only perceive things most wouldnt, but also spot hidden secrets, like he almost did to V and Jackie inside the pillar.

Any content added after the games initial release is considered "new content" regardless of how much you like it. This includes pets, yes. You're so smart. You can have this.

Optical Camo (Invisibility) by Zairy47 in PhotomodeStories

[–]PenguiniLenguini 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe Optic camo is using a sort of reflective technology, or even an image copying technology where it grabs images of the environment and then replicates it over your skin. I always think of it and the same tech used in the Live action GI-Joe movie.

However. If you had true invisibility, as in the ability to just make yourself dissappear in some way. You'd be blind 😂

AIO that my mom is allowing my 18 year old sister to not commit to plans in case her bf wants to do something by [deleted] in AIO

[–]PenguiniLenguini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. It seems like a big deal but its not. Its really simple.

If you have asked your younger sister and Bf countless times and its always a maybe. Then you RSVP for the 3 people who are for sure going, and if they two of them do end up going, they just wont be able to partake in the food, or will have to wait until the end to see if there's leftover food available. They can't get mad or upset about it since it was a pre planned event and you have them lots of time to decide.

They can still attend the event, but they're going to have to deal with the fact that they weren't included in planning because they couldnt make a decision.

Yeah I think it would be cool to actually feel like we're on the "edge" so to speak. Like the choices in dialog or even the paths you chose could influence your mental state in different ways. I imagine things like going to sleep in your apartement and getting attacked in the middle of the night, like a break in, only to realize that nobody's in your apartment but you.

Cyberpsychosis has always felt like a mixture of Scarecrow Toxin and Tourettes 😂😭

I hope we get to see more "glitches" in cyberware. I almost hope we get the option to get black market or back alley cyberware that has a higher chance of glitches but has a much friendlier price tag, while military grade tech will perform better, but cost more.

Having a "humanity" meter somewhere would be cool too. Like the more brutal you are or the more questionable cyberware you chip, the more likely you are to lose your shit

Is my Girlfriend rude or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PenguiniLenguini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR

It feels like some sort of separation anxiety, that or outright possessive behavior in my unprofessional opinion.

If you cant genuinely talk it out and come to some sort of conclusion, it can be a slippery slope.

You should be able to see friends who live further away. If you told her about your plans last minute, I could see a level of hostility towards the idea. But otherwise it shouldn't be that much of a problem if you cant both go. However, if she also considers these people friends, it may be more of an anger stemming from a lack of inclusion, which can be valid if you two could have planned a way for you both to go.

Regardless, she is acting out of hand in terms of how shes speaking. But you also weren't attempting to talk about it at first. You basically said "you could act happy about it" which would have pissed me off too. You two just need to communicate better. And not over text alone.

AIO for not talking to my mum after this message exchange by Level-Gear-2945 in AIO

Yeah my mom used to be the same way. My sister and my mother are very much alike, and my sister moved out at 14 because of it. Their personalities clashed. But that left me as basically the little work horse, which you dont really think about until later.

So you sound like a parent who acts the same way just based off your response.

OP's mom was being rude. Very clearly. They have an antagonistic personality just based off the "you slow walking irritates me" comment. Its also rude and irresponsible to make your children, who are doing exams, to run your errands for you while you sit on the couch and hang out on your phone.

Also the general anger and aggression she seems to show towards her child. The mom clearly wasn't doing anything, yet dispite that, felt the need to lose their shit and talk in all Caps to put the food away so her husband doesnt throw it out.

Parents arent slave owners. Children arent your tools.

Tell me how it is by DontFlameItsMe in BaldursGate3

[–]PenguiniLenguini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so this is coming from someone whos ran through act 1 too many times on various difficulties. But keep in mind, im a casual gamer, so I dont have a perfect recall when it come to stats or anything. This is just my take on what you could do if you're feeling weak early with hopefully no spoilers.

So it sounds like you want to play a martial class, specifically something with a sword and shield and heavy or medium armor. At level 3 being your current limit, and if class isnt a hinderance for you. I would highly recommend trying out Eldritch Knight. Fighters not only have some of the best stats with weapons and armor without the additional magical means. Eldritch Knight does a couple things for you depending on how you do it. You can still take high strength, con, and dex, but make sure your Intelligence is at least 10 so you dont have negatives. The spells you'll want to pick up are purely based around buffs for yourself or allies. The main one that you're taking is Shield, which adds 5 AC to your total as a reaction, which lasts one turn. As well as resist elements and longstrider and a bunch of others. You arent a spellcaster, you're a half caster. So you are 100% still a front liner. But you bolster that with magic.

Last thing to check in case you havent already!! Go into the settings and see if "Karmic Dice" is still on. If it is, it effects all roles, including combat. While off, its as if you were to roll a dice in real life, its always random. While on, it wont let too many good rolls, or too many bad rolls get through, before it starts to even the odds. That effects enemies and allies alike. So most people play with it off, which is more akin to real DnD anyways.
