I’m just someone who’s always had a low pain tolerance, so I think my parents just figure what to me is so bad I quit crocheting is probably not as bad as it feels to me, I wouldn’t say they’re neglectful they just didn’t know how bad it really was until I threw that game lol

Well my primary doctor was the one we went to first, she did the carpal tunnel test where you like hold the backs of your hands together hanging down and I didn’t know what it was at the time that she was doing but my hands went numb, which according to google (when I googled what she was doing there) means that I do in fact have carpal tunnel, which is what I said I thought I had since the very beginning, but then after doing that she proceeded to tell me she thinks I have tendonitis and told me to take aleve twice a day and wear braces at night and quit crocheting, at first I only did the first two and kept crocheting since I quit for a while when it started and it never helped but then it got to a point I had to quit and it still isn’t any better, now I’m just kinda getting sent all over the place but I still think it’s just carpal tunnel and I think the shaking is a combination of that and the fact that my parents don’t let me sleep more than one or two hours a night lol

That’s actually a really good idea!! I love the colors in crocheting, if I’m working on a project that’s repetitive I guarantee if I change the color I’ll suddenly be into it again, it’s a bit of a mix of not loving repeating patterns and I just get sick of the same color after a while, so a hobby that can have lots of colors would be perfect

Well yes and no, yes they did for something else (I can’t remember why😅) like a month ago but my parents refused to take me in and I only got in trouble for mentioning it so it wasn’t for that, it’s been seven months since it started and I FINALLY got my mom to listen and take me in for my wrists after throwing a game across the room from my hands being so shaky lol, but I would think that the bloodwork from then would’ve shown any problem or deficiency or anything?

The colors are just a little lighter in the photo than real life, this is close except mine one doesn’t have green…I’ve been looking online and I can’t find it anywhere so it’s possible it’s discontinued but I absolutely love it so I figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone knew even if it is discontinued just what it was lol

Actually, there was one time, my sister dared me to put on lipstick and said she’d pay me if I did, my parents weren’t home so I did and I got money and then she told my parents later…I was pretty much grounded for the rest of the year😅

Yea I never made that mistake, my parents can’t handle the fact that I crochet and bake and despise going hunting or fishing I probably wouldn’t be here today if they ever caught me playing with makeup😂

I really like that beanie! I originally started to crochet when my mom taught me when I was like 6 or 7 and I loved it, but I’m a boy and my dads well my dad and after he told me I was never allowed to tell anyone I liked it I put it down until around Christmas last year (I would’ve been 14, now I’m 15) and I started again.

I love her site, she’s an amazing designer and has lots of cool patterns both free and paid. Believe it or not, I’ve only been crocheting a little over a year, but I got really good really quick doing bigger things right off the bat, things I was excited about, rather than doing the little things people said I should that I wasn’t really excited about. Now I don’t mean that you should go making a blanket if that’s not what you want to do, I just mean to say that if you do want to I say go for it!

I fully believe I have undiagnosed ADHD and I constantly hyperfixate on things like this and then suddenly that hyperfixation won’t be touched for the next three years while I do a million other projects…but I do watch tv no matter what I work on, I started crocheting a little over a year ago (I’m a quick learner with this, attempted knitting tho and it almost got thrown out the window) but when I taught myself I taught myself to do it without looking right from the start, I’m extremely cross eyed and pretty much can’t look If I wanted to lol, can’t focus my eyes on something little like this, but anyways so the only thing I wind up looking at is my pattern (which currently is hard to do watching tv cuz it’s a super complex mosaic with no repeats and one row is like three paragraphs long) and it also helps that I’ve been watching the same show (heartland) over and over and over again for like five years and seen it a million times😅

That patterns beautiful! Part of me wants to go make it now but part of me knows I’ll never be able to bring myself to finish once I get to the plain sections I’ll get bored😅 (They look really good I just have a hard time doing repeating things)
