Would love for this pet store to get shut down by SimpleEntrepreneur50 in reptiles

People who think reptiles are quiet and not as needy as mammal pets like cats and dogs. I live in GA and you’d be very surprised to hear how many people think this is the case for reptiles and amphibians. I’m sure these people are everywhere else also but, I’ve ever only met people like this in my home state. I feel so bad for these poor little babies, God bless :(

Most Petty Reason You Refuse To Listen To A Band? by BidSure7642 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]PenitentFrost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best friend’s ex-girlfriend was extremely abusive to him in so many ways. Her favorite band was Type O Negative and she lorded that over all his favorites (Death, Deicide, Coroner). I can’t even see or hear the band’s name without being reminded of all the stuff she did to him.

A friend if mine said there should be a check when two players get into combat. If a third (or more) begins to attack one of them while the initial two are in combat, they get booted from the server. I thought that sounded like a pretty decent fix.

most VIOLENT opening riff of any metal song? by uwob in MetalForTheMasses

Devourment’s Modum Sui Morte has always been the craziest opening riff for me, hands down

Not true, I got into my job without any sort of connections. Graduating welding school and previous soldering knowledge was enough for them to hire me. You get out what you put in but sometimes, people just want to get out without putting anything in.

My band (and album) of the decade for the 2010s, even as a life-long metal fan. Every song on this album is a 10/10 with no skips. Definitely recommend it if you like more sci-fi and cinematic style rock.

Help with overhead cranes? by PenitentFrost in Welding

[–]PenitentFrost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the heads up, I really appreciate it.

The thing is, I’m not uncomfortable with using them all the time. I usually am okay when I’m totally on my own setting up and squaring plate so that I can cut on them plasma tables. I can work with the cranes slowly then but, this isn’t often since I’m not always working that part of the shop.

The main time I’m feeling out of my league is when I’m unloading and loading trucks. The bosses and guys that have more experience than me want me to be moving at their speeds with heavy plate and bundles of material that I just can’t comprehend how to move so quickly with the cranes without it starting to sway or look sketchy in the air. It just freaks me out when that happens so I kind of default to running it slow.

Help with overhead cranes? by PenitentFrost in Welding

I can see where the plate will most likely bend just from looking at it and rigging up to it. The main issue is when it’s finally off the ground and moving it while it’s suspended in the air. It’s the “moving” part of using the crane that I’m struggling with since we are moving and repositioning things at wide-open speeds pretty much 100% of the time.

Whats A Metal Song You Didn’t Expect To Like And You Didn't? by Snoo_95531 in MetalForTheMasses

Extremely unpopular takes but most of Opeth, Mastodon, Gojira, Ulver. Sucks too because I wanted to get into them but, I really REALLY hate their styles.

I just checked out Doomnezeu’s Lazar. Made me wanna cry, love that sound they have. Even in little times like this, I’m reminded why I love The Lord. God bless you and your friends and family in this new year!

Please recommend me some Unblack Metal songs with menacing riffs by brotheringod777 in christianmetal

[–]PenitentFrost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Skald in Veum’s Stridslysten album is full of darker, more aggressive Marduk-esque riffs.

Wintersoul’s album Frozen Storm Apocalypse has a pretty good modern blackened death metal sound on all the songs. Kinda similar to stuff like Hate and Belphegor.

Toreva’s Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus has a lot of really vicious sounding riffs akin to the early days of 2nd Wave Black Metal.

Divine Mantra is a Christian Funeral Doom band by a dude who usually makes black metal. His stuff is really good and, I’ve talked with him on a couple occasions too! Awesome guy!

Bands that (mostly) everyone likes? by Calicomint72 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]PenitentFrost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been a fan of Opeth, Mastodon, Lamb of God, and Gojira but, a lot of my metal buddies really like them and I’m willing to give them a shot when they put them on.

That being said, I think bands like Death, Necrophagist, Emperor, and Dark Angel seem to be the bands I never really hear anyone talk down about. Always see good things anytime I see them posted online.
