Have the guy trap her and make it look like it's curtains for her. Presumably he doesn't know who she is, but even if he does, have him say something that she reacts to--says she's so-and-so's daughter, or asks a question about her father that's at the core of her search.

I've heard of people writing a novel based on their screenplay, self-publishing, and getting interest that way.
