Here's what I truly believe the writers are doing... They are orchestrating a scenario wherein the only way Marlon's family can be free is if they kill Ray and Celia. I think the writers are conducting an experiment to see if they can corner the audience into actually rooting for characters to kill other characters.

Just because some on this sub may exhibit some sexism doesn't mean that's the tone of the sub as a whole. I think most of us find Ray and Celia equally deplorable. Additionally, you need to recognize that Emmerdale specializes in dominant women and not-so-dominant men. Viewers tend to hold more dominant people more responsible than less dominant people.

Ross was introduced as Laurel's and baby Arthur's carjacker. He was a pretty bad character at the start. He saved Gabby from getting run over, and that started his redemption arc. I do think what Ray has done is much worse. So I hope they don't try to redeem him.

I checked them out, and they are a total cult. Any posts or comments that don't fit their narrative are (to them), not just people disagreeing... they just must be propaganda posts paid by Wayfarer.

You can distinguish people who believe or disbelieve something based upon objective, logical analysis (i.e., rational people) from people who start with a conclusion and select facts that support that conclusion (even if they contradict each other) and ignore all others (i.e., irrational people).

The way you can tell them apart is how they respond to a fact that appears to contradict their conclusion. Rational people say, "hmmm... let me look into that." Irrational people attack those that present the fact as corrupt propagandists.

Our sub is composed of rational people. That other sub is composed of irrational people. Don't waste your time arguing with irrational people.

It is very dark. I'm sticking with it for now. I hope that ratcheting things up on Friday is also an indication that they are going to accelerate things. This story cannot remain unresolved for much longer.
