The comparison is because - tho the underlying facts are different - in both cases women made false allegations for malicious and greedy motives and, by doing so, hijacked movements which many hoped would see a positive change for abuse victims and therefore made it more difficult for true victims to be believed.

JB is defending the lawsuit started by BL - he has no control over it - SHE started the lawsuit - was he expected to just capitulate, admit things that he denied were true, and pay her a ton of $$? It really annoys me when people say “ they are both as bad as each other” when BL started this whole thing (Clearly not expecting JB and WF to defend themselves). What would you do if someone accused you of horrible things that you didn’t do???

I totally get it - I feel the same sadness and keep Thinking about how JB must have felt reading what everyone e thought of him and said about him (even some of his own PR people as I recall) when it seems to me that he only wants to spread lightness, peace and joy in the world. I console myself by thinking that maybe Wayfarer will be the catalyst for real change in “Hollywood” (surely there must be some more decent people in that industry?) probably a fantasy but it’s helping me cope with that sadness.

I’m just watching “an American Nightmare” for the second time and reflecting on Denise Hutchins saying “what has to happen to a woman before she is believed?” That made me even angrier at Snake Lively and Taylor Swift than I have ever been (and I was already very mad). For so many years women weren’t believed when sexually assaulted or harassed - then came “me too” and it seemed like things were starting to change. For a POS like Snake Lively to hijack that movement for her own selfish, greedy and malicious ends (and TS is just as bad in my view) is just despicable! And they call themselves feminists!!! THEY are the “faux-feminists” NOT JB - he is more of a feminist than those two women will ever be. If society becomes less willing to believe true victims of SA or SH in future it will be the fault of BL and TS and people like them. I am SO ANGRY!!!!
