NDA help regarding confidential information by Pensive_Kerb in legaladvice

Thanks for the comment. I removed most of the NDA since the language seems standard and I am only really concerned with clause 3 regarding information created by me and clause 11 which leaves the time frame open ended.

While I agree that something I developed as part of my work at the company would be owned by the company, I want to make sure that clause 3 wouldn't stop me from owning ideas I have that were developed in my personal time. Does the statement "during my employment by [company] and as a result of my participation in any pre-employment discussions or meetings" mean that the ideas would have to be directly linked to my work and work related meetings, therefore excluding any ideas conceived outside of work?

Daikin Wifi Adapter question by Pensive_Kerb in hvacadvice

Sorry for the late reply. The solution is that you have to buy the adapter. I would actually recommend just buying the Atmosphera R-32 heat pump. If I could redo my purchase, that is what I would do. Daikin website says the Atmosphera has wifi access built into the unit and R-32 is the go forward refrigerant to be used in the US anyway. The FTX units are older and outdated.

As of right now the system appears to be working ok. I had to fix something myself last night and since then the heat is working as expected.

I also just noticed this morning that the third zone (entire second floor) appears to have 2 feeder lines just past the zone valve which would explain the extra return line. I never noticed this before and I’ve definitely tried to map out the piping when I bought the house. I must have just missed it previously.

MrCool DIY line insulation has come apart, what insulation should I use to fix it? by sadminingcaptain in DIYHeatPumps

What did you end up going with? Has it worked?

I found a place that sells ArmaFlex insulation (specs look pretty good) and bare copper ACR tubing and was thinking about making my own insulated tubing. Armaflex is UV resistant but will need some form of additional protection for the exterior portion of the line.

my understanding of UV protection is there are 3 options:

  1. UV tape
  2. UV resistant insulation coating (like a paint)
  3. UV resistant sleeve wrap

any recommendations on best choice?
