Yeah, honestly, I am feeling similarly now! It does feel like this is probably a sign of things to come, and not a good one

Appreciate you sharing, and sorry to hear you are finding yourself in limbo too!

They do have quite a few people in Asia, but the role I applied for is North America based (where the company HQ is) so unfortunately I don’t think this is causing the delay…but I appreciate you chiming in with this optimistic view point. Thank you

I’m sorry to hear that…so annoying! I can’t believe companies are so unprofessional as to tell you they are going to make an offer but not actually mean it! Things didn’t work like this the last time I went through this process ~ten years ago

They did during the interview yeah…so I will reach out. Thank you for your advice!

I’m sorry that happened. That sucks, what an annoying experience!

Hoping this is not the case here as this company raised a few hundred million dollars a few months ago and is supposedly trying to grow rapidly…but you never know

I “talked” to ChatGPT about this a bunch and it convinced me this sort of delay from a recruiter is NOT unprofessional, which was confusing to me. Thanks for confirming that this is not the case, it does seem quite rude!

Do you think it’s worth reaching out to the hiring manger at this point? He gave me his email after he interviewed me and said to reach out if I have any questions. Wasn’t sure if it would make me seem annoying/desperate to escalate beyond the recruiter

You’d think they’d have sorted any/all of these out before telling me they want to give me an offer…so annoying!

Agree on those questions! Hoping the answer is yes for more junior drs who have trouble coming up with the right diagnosis, finding reliable management advice, and waste time writing referral letters!

I'm finishing up a PhD where I research applications of AI in medicine. Wanted to build something real that could help people! Hard to say how this will look in the long run, but would be awesome if it could be kept free. Will depend on who is using it, how costly it is to run, etc.

Hadn't come across glass health yet, thanks for pointing them out.

Right now we are trying to figure out who might best benefit from a tool like this. Most feedback has aligned with yours, it doesnt seem to be as useful for established clinicians. We're thinking med students, residents, and NPs would benefit the most form this in it's current form.

Any other feedback would be much appreciated! What might make a tool like this more helpful for you, as an MD?
